Awesome just pricey
The place to stay on Long Street. It's the place to party and explore the authentic side of Capetown but still stay in a unique safe hotel.
What a treat staying in this funky boutique hotel in the heart of the buzzing City. The rooms, food and service was superb. I’ll definitely be back.
We stayed in a rooftop Airstream and loved it. There was a movie playing on the rooftop deck the night we arrived, which with our "room" tight there made for a cozy experience. Oh and they gave out popcorn, candy and blankets; that was a nice touch!
2nd time I have stayed here. Nice place, though the rooms are a bit small.
Very nice Hotel in the lively part of town. The hotel have very nice vibe. The restaurant serve good food and the staff are friendly and the service good. The place are nice and clean. Must visit is the Sky bar on top. There are live music in the restaurant where you can listen to music have a been and something to eat. Lots of hangouts nearby.
Stunning and trendy. Excellent food as well!
Great rooms and great food! Do yourself a favour though and book one of the rooftop trailers. Also, don't miss out on the Monday movie night.
The Grand Daddy is conveniently located for tourists just a couple of blocks from City Sightseeing Bus Tours. The hotel is very nice and feels secure. The rooftop bar is enchanting. A few small details would take this to a 5. The corners of the shower need to be scrubbed, the lighting sometimes flickers, and the hotel 3-ring binder is missing menus for the restaurant. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Unique place, well worth a visit. Check out a movie on the roof in summer, or stay in a caravan up there too
I enjoyed my stay here. The staff is friendly and welcoming 😊
They have a really cool roof top bar with an outdoor cinema. Great place to come for drinks with a group of friends.
What a cool hotel sky bar has caravans on the the roof, understand you can do a movie and stay here for the night
Cool name, but the music at the bar is not cool at all. It's more teenage than grown up.
Awesome setting in the heart of town. Nice clean venue with a awesome roof top bar. Give it a bash.
Stayed in an Airstream trailer/room on the roof top. What a great experience! Trailers were renovated very nicely and well maintained. Staff was very polite and helpful. (stay was in May)
Being one of the few restaurants open on a Sunday for breakfast, it came recommended by the guest house I lived in. It took my 5 minutes to walk to the thirty ate restaurant and the best part of that experience was the walk there. Upon arrival the waitress was extremely friendly as they usually are and the place is commendable for its elegance and chilled music. I requested the waitress to combine meals for me since the breakfasts was just a tad to small. She then replied saying that they aren't open for lunch and dinner, so combining different meals although I was willing to pay, was not possible. This came as a surprise since the hours says that they are open the whole day, so I guess they will be serving only breakfast the whole day. Eventually after she had to consult with the chef she then managed to add me a little extras like sausages. When the meal was done I had to wait nearly ten minutes just for the bill until the manager came passed and I had to ask for it again. The excuse then was that the system was slow, as if it is any of my concerne. i would trust that a restaurant of the calibre and pricing offer fast, effective and adaptable services, but sadly this was not my experience. I wont recommend a visit to this place for breakfast to anyone. Well unless you have nothing else to do the whole day and you can sit around for long periods of time waiting for the waitress to tend to you. By the way only one waitress was on duty and there were no more than fifteen people seated. So i dont understand why the service so poor.
