Not as good as it used to be. We wanted to sit in a booth but the waiter said they were all reserved. The whole time we spent in the restaurant no-one came into a booth!!! We left and the booths were still empty. I had liver & onions which is usually excellent but it was too salty and the gravy I received in the small jug was like thick glue :(

Serving great food, with a large variety of drinks. But beware that the 12o'clock closing time is quite often moved forward and the last few times we were asked to settle our bill an hour before the stated closing time.
If you are keen for a late night, it might be worth going elsewhere.
If you want to have a dinner, then the Baron has great steaks.

The best place to chill after hours. The ambiance is positive, the food is amazing. The best spot to network and chill. My experience here is always splendid. It's sad I go after work and always don't want to leave. If you want to enjoy positive ambiance, The Baron Woodmead is the spot for you!

A very well deserved 5 star rating from me. This was one of the tastiest salads I have ever had. The Baron has a good variety of dishes to choose from and is well situated with secure parking.

Nice and vibrant atmosphere at least in the afternoon where good food and cold beer can be enjoyed after a hard days work. Enjoy a variety of craft beers and cocktails with mouthwatering food. Good spot to break the ice with new co-workers and partners.

Not bad. Had a good night out with a buddy.

The Brownies are amazing. The Espetada was seasoned fantastically.

Just be weary of finding plastic wrappings in the veggies. Oh and a shot of tequila shouldn't ever cost more than R50 :/

Laughter, fun and friends with good food and great drinks. Perfect place to visit after work with colleagues while missing the Santon traffic

Lovely chilled vibe on a Sunday here for lunch. The food never disappoints. Good portions and not so badly priced. The service is also quite nice. Nice for a couples lunch on a weekend. During week its quite busy with the Sandton professional crowds

This is our local watering hole. Good friendly service. Great draught selection. Sundays are great for Formula 1 fans

Food is really good, with large portions. You will need to ask for a doggie bag! Very busy restaurant, making a booking is recommended. Noisy and festive, not for quiet romantic evenings.

The 500g fillet was good, but a little bit over cooked.
    Great calamari salad.
    Very good service.
    Very noisy.
I ordered 500g fillet, which wasn't in the menu. I was charged much more than double of the 250g portion.
I had to argue a lot to fix this issue.

The Baron is a great restaurant with great food. They have excellent grills, chicken dishes, seafood, and hot pots/curries/stews. On top of that they certainly know how to cook a steak. Reservations are recommended, especially for dinner. If you do go, always ask for a booth. The booths are rotatable and allow you to sit in smoking for a few minutes and then rotate back to non-smoking as you please. They only get four stars because when the restaurant is packed, the waiter service can be a bit slow.

The food and beer were great. The steaks are to die for. Sometimes service was a bit poor which prevented this place from getting 5 stars.
