  A very small John Dory's. Had a quick sushi lunch. Although the food was quite average for the chain restaurant, we had very good service.

  This is officially my favorite John Dorys. I write this review following a great tempura schnitzel supreme meal. Now coming from a person that never normally orders chicken at places other than Nandos or Gallitos I can honestly say that this trounced both. Amazing staff and even better meals. I will definitely be back.

  Have visited this John Dory's several times, especially on a Wednesday for Sushi special, and found the experience, food quality and service to be of great standard!
  Well done JD @ Menlyn! Keep up the good work and quality you pride yourselves with!

  Ordered 3 items returned one chicken was raw fish had scales (entirely scaled fish. Not unscaled at all) on them and was told that their fish comes with scales by the manager. Food isn't great. Price range is equivalent to Ocean basket. The walk to Ocean basket would be well worth it. Service wasn't impressive. Most horrible experience I had in dining in a while

  This was my hang out place as I was growing up, brought a lot of memories. Cake is always good( especially the carrot and chocolate cake). The rooibos latte is always good, Most of the staff I get is friendly.

  This is a fantastic restaurant. We do not miss a Wednesday for half price sushi. Even on other days we get great service, good food and all of this at n sweet price. Jaco(one of the managers) always goes above and beyond. No request too difficult. Well done!

  Much better after renovation, those ugly and enjoying red, green and yellow colors are gone, thank God. I hope they change the look and feel nationwide because their food is excellent and they do need a face left.

  I've had nothing but great experiences here. The service, food and general atmosphere is better than some of the other restaurants in Menlyn. The sushi is of great variety, creative and fresh.

  Just had one of my favourite restaurant meals ever. Great food! The Cheesy Prawn Tail, as well as the Prawn Bisque starters were fantastic! Friendly, enthusiastic wait staff who check in regularly. Will come back any day, any time.

  The food was ok, the waitress (cassandra) was so negative, it felt like my family and I were a pain in her life, we had to ask for our daughters food cause they forgot it, I went in to monte with such a vibe and left so negative. I thought for a restaurant in monte the service would be of a high class. I felt unwelcome.
