The 2 weeks we had there were AWESOME. Everybody had a smile whenever we came across a staff member, from the housekeepers to security to the GM. Always so helpful and accommodating. Even going out of their way to satisfy our requirements. Friendly beyond words. The access to facilities is fantastic. Resort always so clean and the restaurant has amazing food, from the specials to the al la cart. Activities for everybody of all ages is a blessing in disguise on the bad weather days.

You can do something about the reception and professionalism of your staff. The rooms are neat and descent size. The food was good. Training can go a long way for their team. They also were playing music loud by the entrance, not sure that's a good idea.

Place is currently under major renovations, which is not a problem as such. We arrived on Saturday and was so happy to notice that the beach is just a walk from the resort. However it was very disgusting to hear loud music to late hours of the night coming from the beach/park just outside the resort. In the morning the whole place was littered with beer and alcohol bottles (some broken), plastic bags and every other ugly stuff you can think of, sadly this was strewn all over the place and into the beautiful beach. This is really an ugly sight for this wonderful place. If there is something you can do through your local community forums, please do it, as we all enjoy alcohol, but do not offend or disturb the peace of others. Beaches do not mix with alcohol abuse.

Our unit has been refurbished and is looking great. Wonderful childrens playground, level to the beach and a terrific restaurant at low prices to eat in or out. What more can you wish for.

The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. It's also great to only have to walk 5 minutes to the beach. The food was really good value for money too.

My kids loved it, the beach was not over crowded and it was beautiful
Close to all malls etc

Cozy hotel rooms, good food and close to the beach. Unfortunately a great lack of planning and coordination. Like, it's really terrible - since we came back from dinner till now 9pm on a Sunday evening we have music banging right by our hotel rooms with random people passing by very-very loud due to a private event right here at St Michael's Sands. We checked with the staff, we are forced to sit through this on our rest and relaxation time - St Michael's we won't be visiting again - purely due to the lack of planning, and caring for the rest of your guests when having such events.
No parking as well due to the private event.

Really a shocking experience, wanted to get away for the weekend just to find out the private function is right next to your room with music banging in your ears on a Sunday evening!!!! No parking allocated for the people staying at the resort and strangers walking outside your window shouting. This place will never see me again and I will not recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately I was forced to allocate a star to post this review otherwise I would not have given any stars.

Beautiful surroundings. Shopping malls, restaurants and Wild Coast casino close by. Beach not packed, more private for those intimate nocturnal walks love it! Accommodation is spacious, beautiful set up, pristine with lovely braai area. Definitely a recommendation ! This place keeps drawing me back 😊

A great getaway. We like the peace and quiet of the South Coast. At St Michaels Sands we find the accommodation and food good and the staff extremely friendly. A great view of the lagoon and beach.

Timeshare units. Pool and entertainment. All the timeshare companies owns unit here. They also hire out units for their owners at the hotel. Very comfortable and spacious. Family orientated, with the swimming beach on their doorstep.
