Spiga looked awesome from the outside. What could be better than sitting in Florida Road and enjoying a cold beer in humid Durban. "Ask your waiter for a list of craft beers" it says on the menu. I ordered 2. The bill came, R57 for a 330ml Steph Weiss. What a rip-off. A 111% markup on a beer, its unheard-of. Next time, Spiga, just do some effort and include the beer prices on the menu, or buy it on Cybercaller at R27 per can and don't screw over your customers. Taco Zulu is far more reasonable with their prices, at only R45 for a pizza before 6pm and its just a couple of meters up the street.

This place is like a nature reserve, hidden away yet once it's found, it's like discovering a hidden gem! Food was out of this world! Beautiful ambience, good service, serene, very peaceful. The garden is absolutely beautiful, mind blowing, take a long, slow walk after your meal, it will be like you are in a whole different world! My kids treated me for my birthday, had lunch there ! Best place ever!

Always a great place to visit for a good meal. Food is good, service is excellent. Staff are very friendly and always add a personal touch. Very rarely do you wait to be seated and your order usually arrives fairly quickly. Very vibrant atmosphere. Good drinks selection. Not expensive nor cheap - averagely priced, but well worth it.

Great assortment of pizzas and pastas using what seems to be very fresh ingredients. The various dishes on offer were good value too. We were initially told that there was no space inside on a busy evening and would have to wait, only for us to be told minutes later that there was another adjoining bar area with more tables where we could order from the main restaurant. Why not just offer that option from the outset? Otherwise, a great option for casual feel-good dining.

I recently reserved a few tables for my birthday and the night manager met us the week before to make sure we were happy with the tables selected. We were extremely happy! The night came and we ate all kinds of good food, at a very good price. We didn't expect it to come up to so cheap. A few of us then stayed after dinner and continue to drink the night away.
The only thing i had a problem with is that they don't ever have shooter specials and they have a limited stock on alcohol.
Other than that, everything was perfect!!

The meals are really tasty and always served at the perfect temperature. Waiters are informative and friendly. Management is interactive and the overall vibe and italian theme is comfortable.

Great pizza, slightly above average pasta. Good cocktails and a really nice vibe.
Our waiter was super friendly, made really nice suggestions on what to try out.
I must admit that for such a small establishment, I felt that we waited a tad bit too long for our food

Would I come back? Yes
Would I recommend it? Yes

This family business has been on the Durban scene for decades. Been to this Florida road establishment quite a few times for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Can't really fault anything these guys do. One of the best pizzas you're likely to get anywhere, and excellent pasta dishes too. Great vibe, good coffee, craft beer on tap so much Yes!

Spiga is a Durban institution. If you’ve never bought a pizza in the early hours of the morning after a night out, you’ve missed a rite of passage that many people have completed. It’s not just it’s notoriety as a late night food place that sets it apart. Spiga consistently has some of the best pizza around. There are few places that are as reliable and consistent at their craft and Spiga is one of them. Try them out, order a Mafiosa pizza, thank me later!

Excellent food, cheapbut could could do with some proper service. The guys working there seem to be quite "over it". And why on earth wouldnt they have a water tank for the bathrooms when the water cuts - definately put people off from entering the restaurant and caused us to leave early

An excellent restaurant filled with warmth and a homey feeling. The food and drinks are great. Been here 4 times and have not had a problem. A must if you're in durban.

Nice vibe. Always great food. Lekka drinks selection. Great for groups, or a dinner for 2. Just make sure they have all the ingredients for your meal as they replaced the Buffalo mozzarella with Danish feta without letting me know.

The back area is really awesome, besides their food they have cool plants gave give a totally different feel to the place. So far it's been the only authentic I have found. Haven't checked other spots.
