I had a really good stay here. Nice and cozy rooms and really good hotel staff. The hotel is a high rise, so it has a pretty good view of all the skyscrapers. Loved my stay here.

A lovely hotel with a great view of the table mountain and the V & A waterfront. It's right in the middle of the central business district which gives it good proximity to everything. Great food too! It's worth every cent.

I go here every year for the jazz festival events and treat myself to their buffet breakfasts which are amazing! The events that run in the Southern Sun in my experience always run smoothly! Can’t wait to go visit this year for the jazz festival! I have seen the basic rooms and they are slightly small but very comfortable

Attended a conference at the hotel. Everything was really top class. The hotel was the biggest event in Cape Town when it was built many years ago, and still has that old school class. Staff are really good. Catering was also very very good. Nice old school charm.

Great lodging experience with outstanding daily updated breakfast set. A must-visit when you are in town.
Room for improvement:
Ease of information access has been increasingly crucial nowadays. Eliminating speed limit and bandwidth quota for internet usage would be an added-value.

Food was divine. The hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are so huge! My room had 2 double beds .the service was excellent. I had an amazing view of table mountain .

My home away from home. The Cape Sun is the grand old dame. From the Senior Management to the staff, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are taken care of so well and the view is priceless. The food is delicious and especially breakfast with Mike playing the piano us just beyond special. Jacques, Tanya, Merlé you are awesome! I carry you and the Cape Sun in my heart. Love you tons.

One of the awesome hotel in the middle of the town.Love it!! Well maintained , proper hygiene,clean and neat!! Foods are delicious . Buffet breakfast available . For other meals need to order either at restaurant or by room service. But have to wait more time to receive it. Those who are smoking have to book smoking allowed rooms in well advanve. Room service available till 11.00 pm only!

Rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Meals are very good. Chef was willing to prepare special vegetarian meals for me. Much appreciated. Reasonably priced. Great value. Nice views of the mountain.

Cape sun is centrally located may it be for dinning or attraction within the city . The beautiful and amazing view of the table mountain is what greets us every morning you wake up. The accommodation itself is clean and comfortable. Breakfast buffet is outstanding with the piano accompaniment each morning. The shuttle that takes you to the waterfront V & A wharf is accessible and reliable.The staff is respectful , always willing to help and courteous. We have an excellent experience with cape sun

Comfortable & friendly upper class hotel. They just need to stay on top of small maintenance issues like loose taps, shower curtains, etc. But otherwise a pleasant stay. And has great views.

Beautiful set up for a midday snack. Parking area is very awkward, difficult to get in and out. Wonderful smell in the lounge area. Food is very good.

The view of the city and the Table Mountains from my top floor room was awesome. Their breakfast was very good and quite a variety of food was offered. Reception and decor is amazing.
