Rock fig is an amazing place to get deep into the bush while still enjoying all the luxuries you get from home, with 2 game drives a day from an amazing guide you'll never look back!

As a frequent traveler with Imagine Africa Safaris we visited Shindzela. What a lively place. Rustic and very comfortable in all respects. Wonderfully staff and splendid gamedrives. Great food and awesome pool and views. It's a must visit also being very reasonably priced considering what's on offer . Unwind and enjoy.

ZERO STARS - Having read the following in the press, I am appalled and seriously hope people rethink visiting and thus supporting this place. Shame on you. "For those unaware of this arrangement, the latest hunting quota application by Timbavati, Klaserie, Balule and Umbabat might come as a shock. It includes 193 buffalo (including 76 classic bulls), 34 elephants (including a super tusker), two white rhinos, two lions, two leopards (despite a national moratorium on hunting leopards), 29 kudu, 5,162 impala, 25 waterbuck, 10 hippos and a hyena, a giraffe, a zebra and a wildebeest. It also requests the capture of 30 white rhino and eight hippos".

I would give zero stars if I could, they allow trophy hunting of almost all species including elephants, lions and leopards. That beautiful animal you admired so much may now be gracing the wall or floor of a person with very dubious morals. There is no reason that the nature reserve cannot survive on photographic safaris alone. Many do. As there is free movement of animals from this to other reserves their practices impact on many. If you have stayed there, plan to stay, or would have stayed please let the lodge know your feelings on this subject.

Visited last year and this second visit exceeded our expectations. Saw lots of different animals on every safari ride, including the Honey Badger. Rangers were great and very helpful ,all the staff very friendly. This camp is good value for money, comfortable and most important lots of wild animals, birds, wild flowers, grasses and butterflies. Will definitely recommend to friends.
