The views are incredible. The remoteness is lovely. Our tent was a little run down but they are in the process of renovating all the tents and the renovations look amazing.

The only downside were some neighbours, but that's not the park or camps fault. Best advice would be to go with friends and book out units 31 and 32 or 35 and 36 or 39 and 40. They are perfect for 4 adults (2 couples).

Nice place. Tent bit dirty. Linnen had blood stains on. Door could not lock. Tables were full of old food between the wood. Other than that. Prob what you would expect from tented accomodation. Nice and calm and will stay there again.

This Tented camp is a must!! Very close to nature, small camp, quiet and very enjoyable. Tents are well maintained, clean, we always stay here when accommodation available.

My absolute favourite camp. It has been set out well and is well spaced from other tents. Very quiet camp.

One of my favourite places in the Kruger. All tents have a view of the Tamboti river. If you don't take a tent with a bathroom, be prepared for a walk. Take bug spray!

I love this camp. It's far enough into the park that you don't hear dogs and traffic from outside the boundaries. It's also set very well into the bush, without removing many trees, so you get a very nice atmosphere. The tents and facilities are kept in excellent condition.

One thing to be mindful of is the honeybadgers will generally pay your bin a visit during the night after a braai. So keep your food locked away. (For the monkeys and baboons during the day too).

Tamboti Tented camp, is exactly that a secluded Tented camp with limited facilities, shared ablution blocks separated male and female. You have to check in at Phalaborwa gate approx 6km from the camp.

Greeted with a rustic feel just a few km of mild dirt road any car could handle. small little sign posts directed us through the camp to our tent. Parking is not demarcated and having more than one vehicle per tent could become a hassle.

We walked down a short path revealing our tent overlooking a dry river bed the view was fantastic, Everything in great condition, I would suggest not arriving after dark. The ablution facilities were in great clean condition, and even though the camp was fully booked, were still very quiet.

The beds were extremely comfy and thank goodness for a standing fan and a small supply of electricity, which provide power for an external light at the braai, On the patio and a light in the room.

The chairs on the patio were a tad solid and un-comfy if you can bring your own seating/cushions you should do so.

A torch is essential for going to the bathrooms after dark.

I would suggest not to bring active children to this camp, its very rustic and designed to sip your favorite drink sitting with your feet up.

Lovely to be back! Super surprised they replaced all the tents with brand new ones as maintenance was needed.
Clever animal proof cages for food storage.

But be aware of the baboons as they are just waiting for an opportunity.

Keep up the great work in the camp!!
