Numbi gate gets 5 stars, efficient and clean gate. Lots of amazing wildlife just a short distance from the gate. The 30 kilometers outside the gate had evidence of at least 6 previous roadblocks. Burned tires, shattered glass, and big rocks on at least 6 different locations crossing the road along the drive from the gate. At times, this gate is inaccessible due to a road block. I would avoid this gate due to the unpredictable conditions outside the gate.

Boni is the perfect lady to work in that office. Patient and so friendly dealing with frustrating guests. Makes visiting the park worthwhile.

Numbi, being one of the quieter and less used entrances to the Kruger park is by no means any less efficient or friendly than any of the other gates. The gate is close to hazyview and the road to the gate is in reasonable condition. The staff at the gate are efficient and friendly.

Numbi gate is conveniently located close to Nelspruit and is one of the most friendly Gates to enter the park at. The staff are friendly and willing to assist in any way. They have clean restrooms available. There is also a curious stall for nice gift ideas.

Entrance to the Kruger National Park closest to the Pretoriuskop Rest Camp - friendly gate officials with loads of patience. Often see elephant and buffalo as we enter this gate.

Amazing!!!!!!! I never thought it would be this great the only problem is that it is so massive which I also didn’t anticipate!!!!! We were there a few days and were unable to cover 1/2 the park!
My advice is to go to Madikwe game reserve in the North west province. The animal population is so much more dense in a much smaller park. Way better than “over rated” Kruger National Park!

Try to avoid this gate. Long queues and poor service. Plus the drive in is really quite squalid. Try Phabeni instead but get there early

Closest gate from from White River isn't the most pleasant. Phabeni Gate, only 10 minutes further from White River is a more pleasant drive.

Fantastic place. Guides very helpful, although local visitors do not help to improve experience and occupy best spots

The closest gate to Pretoriuskop camp. Due to the road conditions (both physical and crime related) I would not recommend using this gate. Rather use the slightly more northerly Phabeni gate to enter the park and then turn southerly (right) at the four-way intersection about 1km into the park - this travels southerly along the border and ends at Numbi gate (but inside the park). This is a far more pleasant drive. As with all the Kruger gates, the access procedure is a mess of forms, queues and checkpoints. It's as if the administration has abandoned technology and reverted to paper based systems. Often, during busy periods, there can be significant queues. If you are a day-visitor (i.e. not staying in the park overnight) note that you cannot take alchohol into the park - your vehicle is likely to be searched on entry for alchohol. Finally, when in the park, do not post any location based information for Rhino sightings - criminals use this information for poaching.
