Shandon Lodge your Home away from Home. The staff make you feel important and special at any given time. No request too difficult to handle. Once you have stayed here you will never want to stay anywhere else!!! And you will truly wish there was a Shandon Lodge at every holiday destination!!!

Shandon Lodge is my favourite guest house to stay at when I need to over night in Nelspruit, especially for work when visiting the Department of Health.

I’ve stayed there many times over the years and keep returning. When needing medical treatment at one of Nelspruit’s private hospitals, it was a useful stop over.

I have stayed in five of their beautiful rooms which are all tastefully presented with elegant choice fabrics (I believe designed by one of the guest house owners).

For those who want the health option, freshly prepared fruit salad will greet you at breakfast, along with a broad spread of cereals and yogurts. I enjoy watching various birds in their front garden whilst eating breakfast.

I have stayed in many B&Bs and hotels for work all over South Africa, but this has to be the best breakfast and comfortable night stay (winter or summer). Also nothing is too much trouble for the managers. It’s like a home from home experience.

I couldn’t recommend it more highly.

Friendly, fun, family orientated gem. Breakfasts are superb. Have stayed here many times and never been disappointed. Always recommend to friends and family who have also been suitably impressed.

I speak for ourselves as well as our fellow travellers Mick and Beanie Cronin in congratulating and thanking the owners Jane and Tony and very friendly staff at Shandon Lodge for a most enjoyable stay. Everyone went that extra mile to ensure that our stopover was convivial. It really was to the highest standards and we all have no hesitation in awarding a well earned 5 stars. Well done.
We were on our way to Mozambique at the start of an African safari and this set the tone for a memorable trip.

Shandon Lodge is beautiful, we love staying there! With my line of work I have had the privilege of staying at many 5 star lodges around the world and Shandon Lodge is always my favourite. The hosts are extremely friendly and always go the extra mile. Facilities are great and location is fantastic. Security around the Lodge also makes for great peace of mind.

Absolutely wonderful accommodation. Bedrooms beautifully decorated with all the necessary amenities. The owners are professional and friendly. They really helped us to organize and plan our travels around South Africa. The WiFi connection is brilliant.

I had an incredible stay here last night in Nelspruit. Jane took care of me like a close aunt, making sure I was well looked after, well-fed, and even joined us guests for dinner. Not sure what was better - the conversation or the home cooked lasagna - but maybe you'll have to visit to find out for yourself! Thanks so much again, Jane. Hopefully see you again one day soon :)

Wonderful stay at Shandon Lodge. Very welcoming owners who have a passion for the business and the area. Tony and Jane gave us so many ideas of things to do and see in the area. The rooms are stunning, comfortable and homely. Unforgettable, breathtaking views. Breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be recommending Shandon Lodge to anyone I know going to Nelspruit.
