This is very basic accommodation. If you are used to Five Star, you will hate this. If you like peace and quite, this is the place. Not much to do, sit back and relax is the motto here. To get here is a challenge as the condition of the dirt roads (fluctuating) at the time of my trip was shocking.

Peaceful, hot, not much to do if you have kids the monkeys are very irritating as they keep on pestering you and stealing your food so be careful, accomodation is great the views and mountains are beautiful, there is a sense of absolutely nothingness that I loved, carry an extra spare wheel as youbare traveling alone and there are not many people around. Do some fishing we really enjoyed it, 2 night's is more than enough if you not the camping type of you are 5-7 night's

We camped in the veld camp at the river that was awesome. But driving out to Alex-bay its the worst gravel road i have been on.

Nice place to over night in the chalets. Maintenance a problem as our bathroom stinks & basin could not drain. But still a breath taking place to stay. Friendly staff & was discounted for drain.
