A scenic beautiful arid place well worth a visit. Stunning rock formations, dry sandy riverbeds with something to see or photograph at every turn. If you're camping beware of the HEAT. If you're driving beware of the CCCCCOOORRRUGAAATTTIIONS! It will knock your fillings out and make your bowels explode. A 4x4 is a necessity so air down your tires for a better ride and also to do less track damage and lessen corrugations. Leaving your 4x4 in 4 High is also advisable for the same reasons. Bring plenty of water, sun cream and an extra spare tyre will.give you peace of mind depending how far the main tracks you move. Oh make sure that if you bring your wife she loves the outdoors or has a sense of humourorwell you will find out for yourself!

Drove from The Growcery at Vioolsdrift to Eksteensfontein and onto Kuboes. Breathtaking scenery. Road can be terrible at certain places, with corrugations for kms. Be prepared to drive slowly

Spectacular and remote and barren. Amazing landscapes. Not everyone's cup of tea. Off-road vehicles only. But just wonderful, especially in September if there have been reasonable winter rains.

If you love spending time in nature or just looking out over the horizon and taking in the silence you will love this place. The Richtersveld is a place to visit. Drive a vehicle with good ground clearance and have a spare tyre handy with some tools. There are not cellphone reception here and the road does get rough at times.

I had a wonderful experience while roaming in the dense jungles of Richtersveld mountains.. there were dense forests as if no axe of a woodcutter has entered into the forests there was no sunlight even in those forestsI roamed in the Richtersveld for about one and a half our.. I died of thirst I had only 5 bullets in my Manlicker Rifle and only 2 box of coffee..

The tranquility of the park is magnificent. Even though it is a harsh dry area there are super flora and rock formations to see. The camp at Potjiespram was stunning, clean and neat even though very basic. That is however made up for by the ability to quitely having a braai and watching the sunset!!

    A must do experience!!!
