This is our home away from home. We simply cannot say enough about the life-changing experiences we have all had in this beautiful part South Africa. The people are all top-notch, the accommodations are unbelievable, the food is simply marvelous and the variety of animal life is second to none. If you do not have Savanna on your bucket list, your list is incomplete. 5 stars all day, every day!!!

The ultimate in hospitality and game viewing, our second time at Savanna , after the previous trip we didn't think it could get any better
"wrong again," we saw the lot, and with a whole heap of enthusiasm and knowledge of the" Savanna Family." from the owners right across to the room maids.

I am an American Peace Corps Volunteer living and working in the community outside the gate to the Sabi Sands. I have been working with Savanna's community outreach programs and the Savanna staff have been overwhelmingly generous and helpful to me. I can testify that this lodge is a critical presence as an employer and project sponsor in my village. I have visited the lodge and it is stunning, especially with the new decor. The staff are all remarkably friendly and fun with great stories and a contagious sense of adventure. The wildlife in the Sabi Sands, as well as the history of the lion prides and individual leopards, will blow you away. You won't regret your decision to visit this lodge!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!! The lodge and rooms are so beautiful. But be warned - you'll never want to leave! The staff are all so friendly and just cannot do enough for you. We were made to feel very special all our stay and the game drives are just out of this world! The Big 5 were seen in our first morning's drive. Paddy and all his team are the best and you will have the trip of a lifetime I guarantee you. Our kids were also respected highly and made to feel so welcome by all the staff. Thankyou Savanna for our wonderful holiday.

How to begin??

This place is the embodiment of the word exclusive. From our arrival we were made to feel important, the staff greeted us with giant smiles and enthusiastic questions on our journey.

The rooms are SPECTACULAR.
The food was MIND BLOWING. (highly recommend the Savanna Sandwich for breakfast)
The views are FANTASTIC.

We saw the entire big 5 on the 1st day. And not from a distance through binoculars right next to the game drive vehicles. Sometimes as little as 2meters away!

Our Ranger, Daniel Fincham, was expertly professional and vastly knowledgeable on everyone of the Animals, from the biggest game to the smallest insects. Dan the Ranger Man was excellent!! His tracker, Julias, was almost superherolike in his spotting and tracking abilities.

The three days we spent there were absolute bliss. I would highly recommend this lodge to any and everyone. This really deserves a higher rating than 5/5 i would say a 8/5 rating would be more accurate.

Savanna Private Game reserve was definitely the highlight of our trip to South Africa. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed not only by the friendly staff, but also by other guests, and as the time passed we could see how the general vibe of this lodge was warm and welcoming while still giving guests ample time to enjoy their own private rooms and other facilities of the lodge. We really enjoyed the long break between the morning game drive and lunch/afternoon game drive. Compared to the (3) other lodges we stayed at, we found this made for a more relaxing safari experience, we weren't feeling like you always had somewhere to be. The rangers and trackers were so knowledgeable and would stop at nothing to ensure the game drives were always full of excitement, a bit of bush-bashing made the drives extra fun! We personally enjoyed the social aspect of communal dining where we were also joined by our rangers, it allowed everyone to get to know each other, if only for a short period of time. As a travel agent, I will be recommending Savanna Lodge and the Sabi Sands as the best safari experience and cannot wait to send more guests to this amazing place.
