With the largest dam in the Sabi sands, it's a beautiful view from every suite of Chitwa Chitwa. With an all suite configuration, it's the best value for money lodge at Sabi sands, the suite sizing more than double than the rest of them. The rangers and trackers are top notch with a special mention of Stefan and Chantel the lodge managers who make sure they keep u in absolute comfort. Chitwa Chitwa is a must, if u go and stay in Sabi sands !!!

The real thing.
Respect for wildlife comes first but in 3 day's I did see and learned more of the big 5 and other wildlife than other safari holidays that lasted 14 days. 3 days is also a worth a lot more in Euros than 10 or 14 days of other safaris in the southern part of Africa. This is probably what Africa used to be in the early 1900. It is very intense and you do not get a lot of sleep if you want to experience it all in a short time.
Not that they rush you from animal to animal until you have seen it all. No, they have a fantastic communication with the other private game lodges to track and the traveling of lion groups, leopards and other wildlife. With this system and the very experienced Rangers you can see it all and get to know all the details of every little (and big) bit you see.
Sorry for the poor English in this review but I expect that you feel my excitement. Even after 3 times visiting this private lodge I cannot get enough of it.

Ten cottages are found among the trees and their cool-toned interiors and eclectic European design influences tie the African touches together in a soft genteel style.

The jackpot at Chitwa Chitwa lodge would be to reside in the Chitwa House, which is the most extravagant of this luxury game lodge’s chalets and eminently suitable for honeymooners. Loved it!
