Top experience, timing is key early morning and late afternoon is best. It's hot so bring sunscreen and insect repellent and observe all rules.
Staff very helpfull and cheerful. Very clean and tidy
Still one of the best Nature Reserves to go too a little busy over the school holidays but good value for money if you camping or doing shared accommodation
Top notch resort. Friendly, informative staff. Plenty of photo opportunities:elephants, vervet monkeys, baboons, deer. Excellent breakfast and dinner buffets. Just outside Kruger national park.
Great, friendly staff. Could be more informative. Our game viewing experience started right after we entered the gates.
Another entrance gate into the park. A 12km drive and u in skukuza.
Awesome experience. Will definitely be back
Amazing place to visit, you can see South Africa's big 5
We didn't get to see too many animals as it was very dry but was lovely to be in the Kruger again and show the kids.
It's a huge park with a vast variety of animals, but due to the few numbers of roads it's sometimes hard to see interesting animals, you can only see them if they go close to the road.
No day visitors are allowed to bring alcohol into the Park. It isn't mentioned on their website. A bit of a pickle if you wanted to take an alternative route (In my case) from Sabie to Marloth Park
Beautifull sightings off different great animals. Well organized!
This is the "main" Kruger National Park entrance gate. I would recommend visiting it once, but rather drive there from inside the Park (a good drive is either by tar or sand roads entering at Phabeni gate). The tar road between Hazyview and Kruger gate is dangerous at dusk: mainly because of livestock on the road, but also due to potential crime. A far better entrance to use if travelling from Hazyview (i.e. from the west of the park) is Phabeni. Not only do you spend more time travelling inside the park, rather than travelling on the outside, but the distance between the town and the park is only about 10 min instead of 40min between Hazyview and Paul Kruger gate. As with all the Kruger gates, the access procedure is a mess of forms, queues and checkpoints. It's as if the administration has abandoned technology and reverted to paper based systems. Often, during busy periods, there can be significant queues. If you are a day-visitor (i.e. not staying in the park overnight) note that you cannot take alchohol into the park - your vehicle is likely to be searched on entry for alchohol. Finally, when in the park, do not post any location based information for Rhino sightings - criminals use this information for poaching.
Awesome place to go whilst in South Africa. Be aware that there is a R300/day access fee to the park for foreigners.
The reception is well run, as is the entire Kruger Park very well run. Very welcoming. Very professional. I was pleasantly impressed that standards throughout the park have been well maintained. The executive management deserve kudos for a job well done. I hope to see them keep maintaining this gem of a park under such excellent administration.
