This place, or should i say these places as there appear to be a conglomeration of bar/restaurant/beer/tea garden, occupies a unique and prime position along the coast, being the ONLY restaurant/coffee shop serving the popular St James tidal pool. However when my daughter and I.popped in there this afternoon before going to the pool to swim, we were desperate for a cup of tea. The place was empty. The only member of staff was a young woman who was unable to supply takeaway cups so that we could take our tea down to the beach. The garden was inviting so we decided to enjoy our tea in the garden, but a piece of cake would have been perfect. No cake. She managed to supply one pot of tea and the other was served in a MILK JUG as "we seem to.have run out of lids"! Run out of tea pots more like it. What a waste of a prime position!!!! The crockery was grubby, milk jug had crack in it. Just unbelievable. The only positive is the young man in charge of the outdoor bar/beer garden who was obviously embarrassed by oir experience.

The restaurant has recently had some renovations and a new menu. Place looks awesome, staff so friendly and fast and the best part are the prices. Most items on the menu are below R50. Comedy night is a blast!!!

Relaxed and fresh atmosphere, with an excellent shaded terrace. Also has a very good selection of food, such as interesting squared pizza and fresh seafood.

Very pleasant experience, staff are very friendly, and food is delicious. Pets are also welcome, which makes it even more pleasant and convenient. Jalapeño Poppers are a bit small though, but very flavourful. Fire oven baked pizzas are delicious!
We had a 30th Birthday Party here, and it was the perfect venue, with live music on the side, and very cool designed jungle gyms for the kids.response / report this review
