The breakfasts are cheap and tasty. It gets extremely humid outside - the shade netting does little to keep things cool. The staff are friendly, but the service is slow. The coffee is average.

I love garden centers and this one is one of the nest. Have that old school feel to it, not like your modern ones in the big builders warehouses. The restaurant is nice and cosy with lovely food

A nice and relaxing coffee shop in the middle of the nursery with an outside area. They offer good standard meals and fresh salads. The staff is friendly.

Very sweet staff but food below par but it is very popular. My toasted sandwich with gherkins had the gherkins toasted in sandwich so they were warm and soggy, not cool, crisp and piquant.
They did not know how to make a frappe or iced coffee.
The shaded seating area is done with polycarb and insufficient latte and more importantly insufficient apertures for hot air to escape. On hot days it hence becomes a sauna below.
The setting of being in the Starke Ayres nursery is wonderful and if you want a simple meal with a friend and your doggie then definitely try it.response / report this review -

We have breakfast here as often as possible - there's nowhere quite as relaxing for an outdoor meal. Friendly staff, nice sorroundings but you need to book or get there super early as a lot of the tables are reserved. Their lunch menu is enough to make your mouth water even after just having had breakfast!

Visited here after running some errands. Had the eggs florentine and a cappuccino.
Eggs were poached perfectly, hollandaise was delicious as well as the coffee. Setting is great but service isn't great. All in all, quite happy to return here as I have never had any issues here.response / report this review -

Fabulous venue, in the middle of a beautiful Garden Centre. The food is good; value for money too. And the owner is a published chef. The only problem is the seriously loud staff who don't quite seem to have got that 'less is more'.

Very nice little restaurant with excellent food. The children were welcome, but there was no jungle gym or anything like that, and they do not have high chairs. Probably not the best bet for small children. But really lovely if you haven't got them!
