Incredible tea selection (so few places do a proper pot of tea anymore, you get a great tea drinking experience at O'Ways) and the coffee is hugely popular too. Breakfast was delicious and the service was friendly. I like the low-key vibe.

Lovely boutique restaurant with delicious tea and hot chocolate. Easily accessible from Cavendish. On street parking can be annoying as the road gets packed most hours.

Oways is simply the best. The vibe is so great - for productivity and play. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is delicious (if a tad salty). I go here at least once a month for nibbles, and I'm completely addicted to their tea. If tea is something you are interested in or passionate about, this is the place to sample the goods and get your paraphernalia.

I have been visiting Oways for at least 6 years now, and every single visit is an unforgettable experience within itself. The Tea is magnificent in both flavour and in the ceremonial fashion in which it is served. The food is always more-ish (I like to eat) and the menu changes with the natural flow of the seasons. I highly recommend a visit to one of my top 'happy places' in Cape Town.

The whole experience of Oways is wonderful. An oasis in Claremont. Great, relaxing atmosphere with attentive, knowledgeable and friendly staff. The food is very delicious and there is an extensive menu of tea to choose from. The tea is beautifully served and is an experience on its own. There is an array of vegan & gluten free options on the menu too. The owners are so welcoming and accommodating and their knowledge of tea is incredible. This is definitely one of my favourite places to eat in Cape Town!

They have the widest range of teas that I've seen. For true tea lovers they also have tea tastings, tea ceremonies and a tea club which I signed up for immediately. The food is good, the service is great. It was a genuinely pleasant experience that I cannot wait to indulge in again.

This has got to be one of the best kept secret spots in Cape Town. The atmosphere is amazing, nice and peaceful. A perfect spot to meet up with a friend, or have a informal business meeting. The tea is out of this world. The food food and coffee is also delicious. They also do tea tastings as well as tea parties for young girls and their moms.

As already mentioned, one of the best kept secret spots in Cape Town!!!

Easily the best tea house in the country. Always pleased with the Asian-style vegetarian breakfast or lunch menus with perfect tea pairing. Excellent service and atmosphere. Chess boards, Chinese Checkers, and other board games for entertainment; an In-house piano for soothing sounds; and plenty of plug-points to get some work done. In addition, coffee, desserts, and quick bites are also available.

One of my favourite places to grab a bite or have a good cup of tea. There is a wide variety of tea selections and most have proven to be great. The staff is friendly and the service is great. They always serve appetizers and they are always great.

Delicious chef-prepared food of very high quality, with excellent service. The cappaccino was rich and smooth with not a hint of bitterness, and a deep and creamy froth. First rate.

Slow service, but pleasant when it arrives. The coffee and food was hot on arrival.

Inside and outside seating.

We had the potato, cheese and egg omelette. On the side was half a small avo, fried mushroom and a wedge of warmed tomato. On asking, we received a red chilli in oil concoction that was hot and delicious. The thought of the chilli is enough to have me drooling and improved the overall taste of the food.

The coffee is acceptable.

A chocolate croissant was shared. Flaky pastry, but a little low on the chocolate.

I would go back for the fried mushroom and chilli. Otherwise, I'd try something different.

Another place I've frequented since their opening day. Great Origin coffee, huge selection of teas and beautifully considered vegetarian food of the Asian fusion variety. Lively staff, Lisa and Ming-wei are delightful and deserve great rewards for the time, love, care and attention they lavish on all aspects of O'Ways.

As a tea lover - I managed to stumble across this gem while in Cape Town. It has the most amazing range of products and friendly staff. I took my boyfriend along to have lunch, and though the menu is vegetarian and he is a meat lover, we both absolutely loved it!
It also offers tea tastings and tea ceremonies. It is a fantastic place for couples, groups and even as an individual.

A great place to relax with a great pot of tea of any kind! Also the coffee is amazing. The food is superb! A limited menu but the food is really tasty, the dishes will bring to life many flavours normally drowned out by conventional cooking.

Really interesting place. Great atmosphere. There's a huge selection of teas that you can try out. They bring out a teapot, tea and a timer. Quite a cool experience. The food is pretty average and the portions are tiny. But the service is fantastic. I'm vegetarian and the staff offered to allow me to create a vegetarian sandwich.
