I was disappointed. Found cable in our room that should not have been there. There was a dead moth on our bed. The shower head does not look as though it has recently been cleaned. And there's a puddle of brown water in the shower. We actually left the place immediately as we were not prepared to spend the night there.

Place: Well kept from the outset, venue and gardens well maintained, self catering acc sucks. Old bedding, leaky roof (6) only 2 coffee cups, no added cutlery
People: Great entrance security staff, Management are helpful yet scarce, dining staff x1 desperately need training, and maybe more staff.
Food: Breakfast @ R200 is about R150 too much! Store-bought muffins/cupcakes, expired honey, condiments not cleaned between settings, no cheeses, croissants confectionaries, limited fruit, no table settings only when seated. I dont mind paying, but I do when I can get a wider variety at half the price for a garage shop.
Overview: A pleasant place, not much to do other than swim in a over chlorinated pool. Not a place I would personally visit again in a hurry.. If 1 waitress battles to take care of 2 small tables next to each other for breakfast, then how might they handle a wedding of 100+ guests..??

We used this awesome venue for our daughter's wedding and it was stunning !!! The lush greenery and well maintained gardens provided the perfect back-drop for great wedding photos. The thatched hall was beautifully decorated by Shonalanga (Hanita) and the staff were all so helpful and friendly making that special day even more memorable. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great venue for any function.

The best place for holidays. Spa, not expensive, polite people always helping. Is a MUST if you visit South Africa or if you are local to go and relax.

I chose this place to get married in. Scenery is awesome got beautiful pictures at the Swan Lake on the bridge near waterfalls etc. Didn't need to go elsewhere for pictures after the wedding reception because the place catered for everything. The food is amazing. The desert and starter's were awesome. Three course meals with staff that were efficient and friendly. Everything was perfect. I loved it

It was unfortunate that it rained the couple of days I was there. It was a beautiful setting and there seemed to be scope for walks in the nearby hills. The large reception, function room and beautiful small lake made for a perfect backdrop for functions and weekend stays. Spas and massages were available if you like that sort of thing. All the staff were helpful and friendly.
The accommodation was a bit cool in the evening with tea and coffee facilities in the rooms. The showers were good although the toilet and wash basin on opposite sides of the room didn't seem to make good sense. No restaurant or shop is on site but there are picnic areas where a braai would be easily started. Wifi was only available in the lobby during the day.
I'd go back and hope it stays dry next time. Lovely place to stay for a few days.response / report this review
