Very nice damns filled with activity the whole day, sadly not even one fish on the bite even using their bait. Nice day out nonetheless, would go back again
MY FAVOURITE TROUT FISHING DESTINATION OUTSIDE OF DULLSTROOM.CANT WAIT TO FISH AT BROOKWOOD@DULLIES FOR A TROPHY CATCH
Place looks well looked after. But when it comes to carp fishing there is no fish. Between four different groups of people no one had a bite. Not worth the money.
Not a good experience at all!!!! Chalets dirty, looks like it has not been cleaned for years. Can't even open the back door because of all the spider webs. a Minimum stay of 2 nights is required. We left the next morning. We asked before we drove from our house can we catch carp there, which they informed us that we can. We packed and booked for 2 nights, only to find out you can't really catch carp and if you want to there is only a specific place almost at the back of the resort. Won't go there again!!!!!
Great fishing destination. Great for picnics and braai with the whole family or alone. They also have a small fishing tackle shop that has most things you need. One of the best fishing destinations i have been to.
Stunning place and healthy fish. Always have fun.
Nice and relaxing trout fishing venue close to Johannesburg. Clean and well kept picnic areas.
Brookwood is a beautiful place to enjoy fishing, picnic with the family and friends and the area with the dams are stunning to look at, brookwood is a place where family and friends will have a good time every time they visit.
Brookwood advertise Sunday hours end 18h00. I arrived at 16h00 to be informed by the supposed owner Ken that he is closing early at 17h00, reasons given is that its raining, only 2 Customers are fishing, he has to pay his staff additional remuneration to stay open until 18h00 and its Mothers Day
let me remind Ken;
. You are in a Customer service business. You are so disconnected from your Customers as you are rude, dishonest, uncaring and dam right arrogant.
. You advertise hours which you chose to change because it does not suit you to stay open, unbelievable!!!
> You do not pay staff additional monies as they know they work until 18h00
> Whether you have 1 Customer or 20, you should honour the hours you advertise. You chose to own this business knowing your promise to Customers, for shame on you for treating your Customers the way you do and so unashamedly????????????
. Mothers Day is not a reason that should interfere with your business commitments and promise to Customers
. You have NO right to ask a Customer why they chose to arrive at 16h00, who do you think you are--what service provider talks to a Customer like this????????????
And repair and re-install your phone lines, if you answered my numerous calls during the day, I would not have driven 30min to Brookwood and 30min back home.
Obviously Ken Brookwood is performing financially well that you can be so arrogant and unmoving to Customers and change at will your standard trading conditions. In todays touch economic status, you forget that Brookwood has Competitors but based on what I experienced today, you simply don't care--your Customers mean nothing to you.
I will certainly think twice before coming back to Brookwwod and I will share this experience with a greater fishing audience, nobody deserves to be treated like this. I will be pursuing contact details of fishing editorials to share this terrible experience
Pity that you do not value Customers like the rest of your co-owners and staff who are incredibly polite and professional--you should undertake a course on People Management, Customer Service, Conflict Management--you surely need to develop your poor skill set
Wake up Ken. I fished on Saturday and over heared numerous fisherman complaining about Brookwood and the disappointing fishing experiences. Your attitude today is unbecoming somebody who is people orientated, you simply have no idea why your still in business--because your Customers enable it.
Disappointing Ken, you have a lot to learn. Clueless
A beautiful spot for fly fishing and relaxing, but ill advised for a visit in winter if you're not staying in one of the chalets.
What a great little place. Always clean, neat and tidy. The staff are always friendly and efficient.
Great atmosphere, clean and friendly. Can't say the dams are too well stocked though but nevertheless a good day out
Very dissapointed they charge you a fortune on entry per person not per car they RIP OFF u CATCH NO FISH there because THEY FEED THEIR FISH FOOD! We will not be going back there ever again. Place not being looked after either place to have functions looks terrible
