I am beyond disappointed and disgusted in the lack of interest the staff have with the patients at this hospital. Besides the fact that this hospital so dirty and unhygienic, their trauma section is the worst I've ever seen in the Western Cape hospitals. Sheets on the beds does not get changed. The floors are dirty, the hall ways stink, sick patients laying on broken and stinking chairs and I've seen one person laying on the floor.
The Dr's NEVER gets back to you with reports or results of your condition. They will speak among themselves about your health and condition but tells the patients NOTHING. They don't come back with a solution on how to get you better, they only give you medication and off you go after spending more than 24 hours in trauma or waiting 10 hours with an appointment.
Are these REAL Dr's that's actually seeing to us or people pretending and being there to get paid and have not a care in the world about their patient.
I am STILL waiting on my results for the biopsy that was done a month ago.
    I am furious!!!

One or two hickups but otherwise great service. I guess it also depends on your own attitude. Great thanks to dr Richards and his staff!

The care you receive at this hospital is completely dependent on your luck. Some of the staff are the most amazing and caring people while others are lazy, rude and altogether disinterested in anything but their own personal lives. The doctors are the best but the nurses are where the problems start. The orthopedic ward has it pretty bad with the female nurses being useless or causing more damage to patients with no real understanding of their injuries or limitation.

All in all it's a brilliant place to be treated but a terrible place to stay.
