The most dreadful Hospital I have ever been to in my 71 years . The people at reception are very friendly but the Sisters/Nurses in the wards are like robots plus the day care theatre staff are inexperienced . The Anesthetist plus the Surgeon that attended to me were extremely rude ( also robot like with no bedside manners )! I have written my full remarks on their FB page if you wish to read it . The X Ray Department is equally a total nightmare! I gave my wife instructions that if I have an emergency ER 24 are to take me to one of the Durban Hospitals. I have reported my ordeal to Netcare HO , Discovery & the Health Council

I’ve had two emergencies on different occasions whilst at the South Coast on holiday. The Drs were always extremely helpful and compassionate. The hospital was clean and the staff friendly. Great service by the nursing staff!

This hospital is dreadful, staff are rude and arrogant. My mother was admitted after suffering a stroke. One day I Was changing my mothers top when had security tell me to leave. I asked him politely to leave the room as my mother never had her top on, he refused and grabbed at me to leave. This is a hospital not a police station. Never water to drink next to the bed and nap pies left wet for hours. Shame on you margate private hospital

Probably one of my best hospital experiences. Friendly and caring nurses, prompt service and a very knowledgable doctor.

Brought in my mother for a rhizotomy. The doctor didn't even check if she was okay. Discharged her while she was asleep. She couldn't walk afterwards. That lead to more complications. The nurses are not even bothered about patients. I had to make sure she was taken care of myself during visiting hours. And ultimately she passed away. Worst service ever from a private hospital. Especially one she trusted the most. Very heart broken and would never reccomend anyone to go there.

Casualty doctor not affiliated with Discovery Medical Aid and the receptionist and staff doesn't even know why, they can't explain!! R1100 TO SEE THE DOCTOR THEN WE'VE BEEN TOLD THAT THE ACCOUNT WILL BE SENT TO US. The "Netcare Way" basic service standards does not exist. All of this due to a dirty Lagoon. What a bad experience to end your holiday with!!

Been here twice in three days and, although we waited about 3 hours each time, the service was really good. If you're paying a visit during holiday season pack a snack, a drink and some patience. They see the most critical patients first (as it should be) and so tummy bugs are last on the list. The staff are friendly, caring, gentle and competent. Would pick it over some of our Gauteng hospitals any day.

My husband was admitted to the medical ward. When I phoned the ward to find out his condition and to find out when he would be discharged none of the nursing staff knew what was going on, not even my husband. Poor communication. When he rang his bell for assistance no one came around. When I phoned the ward to relay a message to him it wasn't actioned. Dr only did his rounds after 12 every day, and then only ordered bloods and x-rays, which then took more time to wait for the results. This is why our medical aid rates are so high because drs have no regard for the fact that after 12 the hospital charges another day which medical aid has to pay. Parking conditions are poor as well. For a private hospital thease standards are completely unexceptable!

Very poor service, brought in tqo kids with diarrhea at 19:30. At 00:00 still.waiting for them to treat the second one. There was an outbreak of this but this is just very bad service to die to poor management of patients. No contingecy planning !!!. What will you do in a real emergency ? Look at your pt charter again you might have forgotten what you must achieve.
