I haven't stayed in the hospital but the waiting areas are comfortable and directions to different departments are clearly displayed. There is a good coffee shop for visitors and so far I have always found parking quite easy.

To be honest I had excellent nursing care however the attending doctor did not seem to interested at times , He may have had other patients who required more urgent attention. However the ER fees are crazy and I was not informed that two months later I would get an invoice for items used during my two hour stay. I have never been for a medical consultation where I was charged such a high amount and then had to pay separately for consumables used. Usually this is included in the doctors fee. I am disappointed that upon discharge I had assumed that I paid all my expenses only to find out two months later that I am owing an amount. What on earth is a facility fee??? crazy!!

Excellent service (treated like royalty at a hotel! ), only in here for a day for adenoids and grommets but my daughter was a star! Dr Kurt Schlemmer is an amazing ENT doc!

A hospital you are not likely to walk out of. Mother went in for surgery and died from an infection. An infection in an environment designed to prevent the spread of disease and death. The surgeon did not even offer condolences.

My wife broke her ankle in 3 places and dislocated it at the same time. A serious injury! The visit didn't start well in casualty 'cos while we were still getting her in and comfortable i had the doctor who seems to have a franchise over casualty's staff hounding me to pay a R1 200 bill. Quite insensitive and left the impression of a vulture.

However, the good stuff comes after that. Dr Naidoo, the orthopod, was her first specialist and he was great and very attentive. Due to skin complications, in came Dr Barnes, the plastic surgeon. He took over from Dr Naidoo and what a star he was! His concern and attention to his patient was incredible and we can't speak too highly of him.

in the ward the staff were also incredibly good to my wife. The care, over the 5 weeks she was in hospital, was fantastic. The staff were all helpful, responsive and sympathetic and we can only say good things about them.

Doctors and staff are very kind. We had to use their casualty yesterday and the staff were very quick to assist and make us feel at ease. Many doctors went out of their way to chat to us and share their motorbiking experiences.

I phoned 4 times and nobody answered. I eventually phoned casualties and was put through to ICU. Also this morning there was nobody at reception. I find it totally unacceptable! At Westville the phone gets answered promptly and there is always someone at reception willing to assist.

Absolutely shocking I have tried calling 3 times this morning without an answer not the kind of thing you want from a hospital!
