Bitter-sweet experience, although lovely to see the animals, too sad to see how depressed they are 😟 especially the orangutan she's not happy where she is
I have seen photos of this place. Horrendous. The poor animals. "Hell is empty and all the devils are here." William Shakespeare. No morals, no compassion and no ethics. These animals are just there to make money from. How do you sleep at night? Oh I know, they are not seen as sentient beings, they are seen as nothing at all.
It's a nice place to visit. For me I think that there should be some improvements to the zoo. More animals. The current animals they have are interesting especially the Liger(tiger cross lion) beautiful animal.
Absolutely horrific place. I'm amazed that people are rating this place with five stars! The tigers living conditions are sad and inhumane. What an exotic creature is thrown in a little cage with little space, the rabbits have a bigger enclosure than some of the tigers. There's little or no shade for some of them (tigers) and the weather conditions here in Durban is quite extreme. This place needs to be shut down. People going here need to open their eyes to the reality of things and not be blinded to the fact that you are seeing animals you normally don't. They are suffering and it's such a tragedy that we are not doing anything about it.
Absolutely love this place😍. Would definitely want to visit again.
They have a small Group of animals but definitely worth visiting especially if you cannot afford to go very far.
Great place for kids and adults alike. Get to see all the Big cats 👍
A Zoo with mainly lions and tigers but has other exotic animals. A great zoo but facilities need to be improved.
Didn't go into the zoo, but the moon park is not that special. Very small enclosure. It's a 2 minute drive through. I guess die someone who had never seen lions it will be special.
Lovely but some of the animals seem neglected. Was a little shocked for my small children to have to see a miscarriaged pig
Had an amazing day at the Natal zoological gardens as well as the lion park that's not very far from the zoo. Got to see alot of animals at the zoo such as foosas, Tigers, lions, lamas, alpacas, pigs, rabbits, birds etc.. It's an amazing place to take your family to, unfortunately we did not get to see the elephants and zebras on the 7km drive at the lion park. Either than that the overall experience was phenomenal.
The many five star reviews, with nearly each one including one picture of the zoo, seem pretty suspicious and are most likely fake reviews posted by friends and relatives of the owner. This place is not a paradise but a prison for these animals. They are kept in unclean and poorly constructed tiny plots in the zoo where they have no enrichment and face extreme isolation. Check the story about Opal and you will know how bad this garbage place actually is.
A day filled with fun and laughter The kids enjoyed the tigers and the macaws The adults enjoyed spending time walking around at a leisurely pace
What a fun family outing. Animal enclosures are neat and animals look healthy! Bathrooms are clean. Kids had loads of fun. Ended it off with the most delicious snow cup!
Beautiful location, fun family outing. We had a great time.
Animals were very scarce Tigers were Taken away quite early
Overall nice place to spend with family and kids.
Maintenance of the place is pathetic. As if on a downward spiral. Funding is a bit of a problem.
It needs A BOOST AND SOME GOOD MARKETING.
Fascinating up close encounter with gigantic lions, literally within a couple feet from the car with no barriers!! They actually lock you in the lions den! An experienced driver/guide is a must!!
This place is amazing. It's such an interesting selection of wildlife.I got the most out of the experience. The animals are amazing and lively. You can read up quick facts about every animal as you view it. Amazing place!
