Terrible coffee, it tasted like chocolate and I think it came out of their flasks I waited for ages while the waiter ran around trying to find change and was then given a rounded-off amount. When I asked where the rest of my change was the waiter just shrugged and walked off.

Always the best coffee cappicinos and cake. Food always of high standard. The staff and service at this particular Mugg &Bean were outstanding, They were so good with the kids. Well done to a great team

Nice little place half way between JHB & Durban, not as busy as some of the other stops. Food here was great and the service was quick.

What a great place to stop on your trip to the sea. Exactly halfway between Johannesburg and Durban so an ideal place to get breakfast or a snack. I stopped by in the morning it was really busy. Greeted immediately and sat down and ordered. Good clean rest rooms. By the time I got back my breakfast was on the table, delicious and well presented. Not even 30 minutes to fill up, have breakfast and back on the road.

Two of us ordered a steak sandwich and the meat was as tough as rubber. Mentioned this to the staff, who were not to fazed about this when bought to their attention. Wouldn't recommend this as a stop over.

Standard Mugg & Bean menu and fare. It services the next door Protea Montrose Hotel. The hotel does not have its own restaurant, so they provide vouchers for the M&B. Service and food quality are both reasonable.

I stopped for lunch and ordered a toasted sandwich & a croissant with cheese & bacon . It arrived and both were toasted. I asked them who asked for a toasted croissant . They then made another one . This time the bacon was cold and full of fat obviously it was standing , I objected to this as it should have been fully cooked at the right temp before it was served to me . They wanted to redo it a third time and I refused and went and got something from Steers . This is not consistent with the other Mugg & Bean I visit frequently . The Manger came and offer me a free coffee . Sorry I'm not interested in freebies , what I expect to see is a vast improvement in service and good safety .
