Disgusting!! Food was absolutely horrible! The only good thing about tonight was the wine and violinist.
The prawns were horrible - coated in shop bought lemon and herb. The four pieces of potato wedges were cold and hard.
When we complained to the manager, we were told to bring it to the attention of the waiter, at which stage we realized that we were dealing with chancers. These people have no idea and should not be passing off this food as Portuguese!!! The Portuguese flag should be taken down from the restaurant

This is a gem! We didn't have a booking but the manager was kind enough to make a plan and we got such a nice table with a beautiful view of the mountains. They had live entertainment which added to the cozy vibe. Service was excellent (Themba and Sunday were tag-teaming which ensured guests were REALLY attended to) and the food was amazing! Will advise all Clarens visitors to treat yourself to Gosto!

Another one of those places. Where you wait for ever with service and for food. One would then hope food is excelent, but sadly no. Avarage food raw cold in the middel steak when asked for it to be medium. Prawn was bland no salt went anywhere near the prawn or the steak. Chicken was so dry and over cooked not to talk about the burnt parts. No sorry over priced, poor service and not so good food. Sorry but NO!

Lovely decor, spacious and open feel with high ceilings. On the main square, but tucked away from the crowd. All at the table enjoyed their food. The pork chops were a treat, so to the surf and turf. The house wine was a bit dicey, better order from the wine list. Dessert was basic but enjoyable. Cuppachino served in a big cup was warm and strong. Don pedro’s was equally enjoyed. Not the cheapest in town, but the quality is there.

Simply wonderful! Great hospitality with friendly and engaging staff. Food was done perfectly. Generous portions full of authentic Portuguese flavours. I tried the prawns in beer sauce and the black and blue fillet (covered in blue cheese, biltong and avoid). Finished off with a selection of about 10 different desserts.

My son says that the fillet was the best he ever had, Maybe not the best I ever had, but it was very good.

Great service and atmosphere. Food was good but the use too much rosemary on the chicken for my taste. The sole was fantastic.

Such a great place. We did not book and the hostess tried her best to accommodate us as soon as possible. Everyone is friendly and I highly recommend the Espatada. Absolutely delicious.

We didn't have a nice meal at all. I had a vegetarian "prawn" salad for R125 and it was horrid. My husband had a flat chicken and he said it tasted boiled. I wouldn't recommend it.

Well prepared Portuguese cuisine served by friendly staff under attentive management. A warm ambience lends to the enjoyment of occasional live music, and an off-beat wine selection and cognac variety certainly ensures a pleasurable dinner- every time.
