Had lunch here using the entertainer app. The smoothies was really nice, but the food was average. I heard they have really nice coffee. However, I still need to taste it.

Our visit to The Mill Coffee House, Stellenbosch was the worst experience I've ever had in my life. Not only was I humiliated but refused service as well. My sister, my daughter and I wanted to experience the beauty of Stellenbosch by having breakfast in a small cafe. Firstly, we were seated and waited to be served for a while until we asked for service. A gentleman, who later told us he was the owner approached us, very abrupt and without greeting. He just greeted and welcome the ladies at the table next to us. He then turned to us asked, without greeting or a smile, in a very unfriendly manner whether we were ordering. He turned and walked away very irritated. At this point, I was confused, as we were.not even given an opportunity to say anything. As, he approached our table, I asked him in a calm manner and without my family hearing, please don't be rude to us. He then took the menus out of our hands and said:"It's fine! The kitchen is closed for you people!" And walked away. We were so shocked and my daughter and sister did not even know what this was happening. He then remarked that we were back chatting him. We are both grown professional women and my daughter grown up very sheltered from racial prejudice. This experience was very hurtful and I felt degraded as a human being. People still walked in and continued to be served as we were walking out. Can we, as coloured females, still be treated like this and refused service in a restaurant, 26 Years into democracy? We left this restaurant, disappointed, shocked, degraded and humiliated.

Very good coffee, decent sized food portions. However, food took quite long to arrive (and it was a simple croissant breakfast for one)

My new favourite place to go to. I love everything about this place. Their Banting Menu is so extensive and creative. It's not limited to the good ol' omelette but rather offers a variety of dishes like a Cauliflower Wrap, Banting Pizza, Smoothies, Banting Flapjacks & Waffles, etc. I was also happy to see that one can substitute the milk with fresh cream. I cannot wait to try out their Banting cake and Brownies! I really wish they had a shop in Cape Town.

Nice restaurant with outside seating. The food was good but the service was not on standard for Stellenbosch.
