I've been in Stellenbosch many many years, and Aandklas never disappointed me. From potato skins, to Sunday night pizzas, to "net een draft", Aandklas was always amazing! Oh and have I mentioned quiz nights and beer pong??? Plus all the bands that play there..

Local watering hole for students (of which there are many in Stellies) Thus don't expect clean bathrooms and a quiet spot to sit and enjoy a drink. It is very loud and not very well lit. Has enough space to sit about and a decent bar.

That being said, as a student, stop by, it's designed for you

The drinks are very affordable but the security is shocking. A scumbag that made blatent insults to a woman was still allowed to order drinks even though he clearly should not have been in public.

The food is so incredibly good and rather low priced for the quiqlity.The energy that Aandklas offers is great. Most important: You will never leave Aandklas without adding another amazing and awesome person to your circle of close acquaintances and friends.

Cant recommend this place enough. The night before i found this place i visited two other bars/pubs in the area and i thought those places were awesome. But this place takes the cake.. Honestly. Theres an area for a live band, an outdoor lounging area, the kitchen was bustling and the music pumping! To top it all off the bartenders was very friendly, the waiter was always on hand for whenever you need anything and i just felt at home in general. Minor gripe, maybe they should get a few more pool tables (theres only one), but it would be petty of me to give one less star just because of this. In all other aspects they are excellent so i rate this place a solid 5 out of 5. Will definitely be visiting again.
