We came across a very rude Waiter name Winston. We ask for a drinks and he say please wait and STAY IN YOUR LANE! The other waitress was nice though.

Worst food (value for money) in all of Stellenbosch and Cape Town (dry chicken, a joke of a side salad, dry over-peppered potatoe wedges without sauce/dip, ribs with ordinary BBQ sauce and no hand refresher towels).
At 60$ for two, you can REALLY do much better anywhere else!

If I could I would even remove the one star. This must be the most over price, most unfriendly service-less restaurant in the whole of the WC. Service is pathetic, we waited an awful long time for a meal that was dreadful. I ordered, vegetarian lasagna. It came in the smallest of bowls was over cooked to the point of where you couldn't even see the cheese on top. When I asked the head water, where the cheese was, he sarcastically pointed to the dish. I asked him to bring some cheese that I could sprinkle over it. He took forever, which by that time.. I had basically lost my appetite. I also asked if they served some sort of bread or rolls with the meal? The waiter said he would order a bread board. We finally had to ask if he was going to bring it or not. It arrived, consisting of 2 slices of toasted brown bread and 2 slices of toasted white bread. Pathetic. We then had to ask for butter, the butter and about 1 table spoon of grated cheese arrived together. We were charge R30 for the toast, R30 for the single spoon of grated cheese! Total number of us eating was 4, my daughter, myself and 2 fifteen year old girls who ordered pizza. There was NO deserts ordered and starters was nothing more than 2 small individual salads. The total costs were over R1000 !!!! Outrages for what we actually got. Service was terrible. I wished I could have spoken to the owners.. I'm sure they would NOT have been happy with this either. We will definitely NOT be back again. I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. They aught to be ashamed of their LACK of service and prices charged. The wine estate, drive and location is stunning sadly the restaurant and prices charged is terrible!

Outstanding views of the Stellenbosch countryside, situated on a wine farm and with a wonderful ice cream store next door - this is a great place to come for a relaxed lunch or to sample their 300+ Gins. Fair warning, it's not the cheapest place around, but you get what you pay for here.

Lovely place. Food great. Views to die for. Wines superb. Please sansibar check your cutlery. A wonderful experience was slightly tainted having to eat with a fork uneven teeth.

Great spot in the Winelands; easily one of the widest gin selections in South Africa. There are, by my count over 39 South African gins alone. The views are pretty impressive too so all round a great spot to take a break from winetasting in favour of gin when in the Cape Winelands.

Beautiful view, drinks and environment. Great for an evening drink and snack. There is a confectionary store also next door if you feel like a tea and cookies instead!

Asara is one of the best wineries in Stellenbosch. Friendly and helpful staff. Prompt service. Stunning views. Great food. Awesome wine! Reasonably priced. Must see!
