Good service. Salesman was eager to sell stuff to us although we were just browsing. Cashier helpful, friendly and patient. Phillip the guy at the door whom checked our till slip very friendly.
Staff is efficient. Store is clean and airy. One issue : What's advertised online is not always what you find on the floor. It's best to phone ahead of traveling there.
All U need in one shop
Staff Great! Stock..not so great
Not enough cashiers. Waited more than 40 minutes to pay.
Buy a fridge and if you take too long (1.5 weeks) to collect they sell it so when you go to collect there is none in stock! This was also arranged with the salesperson who said it was no problem!
Now have to wait for stock. Which does not suit me due to heavy work schedule.
Was just wondering whether this store has an on-site-consumption license. Customer today was enjoying Jack Daniels and Cola while waiting. Security did nothing about it!!!!!!! U guess because he spent R100 000 he is excused from the law
I shop st Centurion Makro regularly. Prices are good and they have a large variety of different products. Parking is free and adequate.
The queue at the cashiers can be very long sometimes so avoid shopping here at month end. Buying electronic goods is no problem because they have separate cashiers
I always find this Makro incredibly busy. The cues usually run out the door which makes a quick visit nearly impossible. You can see they try and get the traffic flowing at the tills though. Otherwise, just another Makro.
This is my preferred Makro. Even though I have to travel further to get here, the friendly staff (and shoppers) make it an enjoyable experience to shop here. They just need to present the stock on their website more accurately.
All year round low prices. Mostly good service, though I have had the odd occasion where they had too few tills open and were caught off guard with the number of shoppers.
They generally have a very good wine selection too
Some of the assistants were busy looking for their own stuff instead of helping us find what we wanted hence it took us longer to locate what we wanted.
Everything could ever want in one place. Despite all the cashiers, your bound to wait in a queue. Liquor store has a great selection. This Makro also has a glass recycling depot to drop off any glass you want. A big bonus!
This place has almost everything you need under one roof. From hardware, groceries, liquor, car accessories, cellular, computers, gaming, camping, kitchen appliances etc. You can even get something to eat and drink at the in store restaurant. Good specials over weekends too.
Good range of products, mostly friendly service. Not always the cheapest price, shop around for that. Brilliant deals in-store on Saturdays and Sundays. Till queue moves quite quickly. Overall a good store to visit.
Always find what I need, but the problem is that I normally forget what I need and then start running around buying every thing I don't need. Then I have to go back to relook what I wanted/needed in the first place. Shop is well planned and WELL stocked. Keep it up.
Their online collection process is tideos and frustrating. You have to walk all across the store to go sit and wait for them to do the administration relating to the order. It would have actually been better to go in store and purchase! When you buy online you expecting a very smooth process of just collecting your parcel from a convenient spot (perhaps at the entrance) and make your way out!
This Makro seems to have a good range of products. The service received depends on the person you approach, some are more helpful than others. I often struggle to find someone to help me in the relevant department though.
Wide aisles staff are always willing to assist. They are knowledgeable about their products. Prices are good. Always having some special on select items. Like a toystore to me always walk out with more than what I came for. Queues can be a bit long. But they seem to sort that out quickly by bringing in cashiers to decrease the workload
Large variety of products on offer with staff eager to assist. Most items are good value for money.
The store is quite neat and clean. They have updated the electronics department and this feels more welcoming now. The only down side is the length of the queues during their peak times. You can easily wait for half an hour due to their check out procedures.
Great Makro! Unfortunately the downside is that if you are there during lunchtime be assured that it wont be a quick visit. Queues are overly long and all the tills arent open.
Good prices and specials. Ample parking. Queues over weekends is just very bad
One of the top Makro's i have visited - massive almost always have a everything in store as advertised. This is a good place to buy in bulk(note for the non South African ;) ) has food, appliances, toys, gaming, furniture - think it they have it.
