Sister Naicker in Ward 9 is the reason public hospitals have a bad name. The level of rudeness and lack of compassion was astounding!

Absolutely pathetic service from the Antenatal department. I just needed assistance to know where to wait for a doctor but was sent around in circles to 5 nurses who were absolutely full of attitude as if it was against their principles to assist people. The only doctor there, female, sitting at reception was also just as rude and unhelpful. I had a nurse refer me to another who shouted at me in front of all the patients there asking me why was I interrupting her when she was teaching. This was on Tuesday the 25th of April @ 8:30am. Gandhi laid down his life for people, change the name of the hospital if the workers can't live up to his standards.

My father in law checked in the hospital during a strike at the hospital. He was dying, he needed to be in icu as a Specilist at the hospital said he had TB of the lungs. The doctor that attended to my father in law requested from his superior to transfer my father in law to another more equipt hospital with an ICU since Ghandi Hospital did not have an ICU, Imagine , No ICU and you serve a community of millions of people. Lets just say the Doctor made a Wrong call. I heard that a bigger mortuary was being built in the hospital, Why ,re they planning to put more in the Morgue ? Sometimes you be gifted with a good memory and you become a Doctor, but you do not have a compassionate heart. Other times you have a compassionate heart but you dont try hard to be a doctor. If only we chose would be doctors properly who have this balance of intelect and compassion.
