Good food and very friendly staff. However service was beyond poor. Such a mess!
In all the chaos of Long street, perfect oasis of good food and good service in the wonderful atmosphere. Love it!
Met a friend there for breakfast. The food was good. The service was lacking slightly - we weren't tended to very often and had to make an effort to get waiters' attention.
I really enjoyed the coffee at Lola's Along with the avacado toast. The thing that threw me off were all the scents on the streets. I believe the best place to eat would be inside the cafe. The French toast was delicious though
Great food. Interesting menu. Amazing, very welcoming staff.
Their freshly made juice selection is a must-try. The same goes for their smoothies.
Great salads too!
Delicious eggs benedict 😍 Lovely freshly squeezed orange juice, and coffee.
A pleasant setting on the west coast no less dimmed by the ever present smile of the Table Mountain at 11 o'clock view angle and muted sneeze of Robben Island at the lunch hour view point! The meals look and taste good even in their somewhat miss rated portion sizes!
Located in Long Street one of the best places to have breakfast in Cape town city center. Must try Sweetcorn fritters with hershed cream cheese, avo, salsa, rocket, roasted tomato
Amazing little Café with locally sourced food.
The owner, Craig, is very passionate about his shop and this shows in the presentation.
I was pleased to find it on The Entertainer App and decided to treat my hubby to brunch. I am so sad to say it was disastrous. One of the (presumably senior by her behavior) waitresses was "chatting" so loudly with the kitchen and other waiting staff that we could not help but be subjected to her awful vulgar language, which she did not even attempt to hide. At one point she even loudly recounted how some people she knows are a bunch of "_oeses" (extreme expletive in local
lingo). I could barely stand it, but we had already ordered and it was too cold to move outside. I won't even go in to the rest of the experience regarding the food order, which was disastrous solely because of this girl's involvement.
When the bill came we were told that they do not offer The Entertainer App on breakfasts, which is a complete contravention of the App rules, but we really just wanted to get away from there as fast as possible.
Overall the food was mediocre. Our table waitress was sweet and friendly, but the thought of having to face that loud foul-mouthed girl again in such a small space is too much, and certainly not for average fare.
I suspect (from her demeanor) that this specific waitress' job was to hold the fort as a senior and represent the owners in their absence, which is unfortunate because this was not at all the case.
Overall I don't write negative reviews (rather learn and move on), but this one really stood out for me. There are just too many great spots in Cape Town CBD to ever go back for another bad experience.
Love the morning vibe with people chilling. Where to score? Look no far. Lovely girls everywhere, haha!
I enjoyed the Dahn Mi meal, the pork was cooked to perfection. The food was not good, it was amazing! Thanks for lunch!
Well, first because it's a hype. Food is great, but place is very small and service.. well service was definitely not good. Took about 1h to have a stuffed croissant and an espresso. As well as the bill saga.. wrong bill, the waitress vanished and we had to 'escalate' to he manager. Espresso also got no body. Tasted like drip coffee.
It's a breakfast place I mean the best brkfast place a bit pricey but the dishes r well balanced and great to look at n even better tasting
While walking down Long Street today, Lola's popped out at me because of the mouth-watering treats displayed in the window. I stopped in for a piece of cheesecake, and it may have been the best cheesecake I've ever ordered. Not too sweet, a bit tangy, delicious crust. Atmosphere is also very nice - light and bright and inviting. I'll be back!
