Johannesburg Park Station has two sides to it. The North and top end where the Gautrain entrance is, is clean and modern. The other bottom end to the South is absolutely filthy and a s h one T hole.

Clean inside but unclean outside. A bit safe inside but definitely not safe outside. Fast and slow trains available. Long distance buses available here

Very clean and organized transit hub for road and rail transport. Busses going up to Zimbabwe and Botswana from here. There is also a gautrain station here. Many shops and clean restrooms. Also a variety of restaurants and snack shops. Is is packed - so keep an eye on belongings.

Park Station is the hub for railway transport in Johannesburg. It serves local as well as national routes. It is also a stop for the Gautrain. Several bus carriers also use it as a major pick up point. These include Intercape and City to city. In general the station is kept neat and security is good. Visable policing also contribute to the safety factor. Restrooms and places to buy food are available.

This is one part of the Johannesburg CBD which one can feel slightly safe at, the security is tight and there is a lot of police visibility, it gets quiet overcrowded but effort is made to keep it clean and safe

Though part of the station has been renovated, the platform area is dark and dirty. Escalators to to and from platform not working. Tracks leading into the station and around platforms full of trash.

Neat and seems organised. A number of banking facilities, shops to grab a bite and somewhere to sit while awaiting your bus.

Organised but can be overcrowded sometimes. Shops for those who want to buy something for the road. Fast food franchise's and a pharmacy.

Travelling on work, thought I could walk around as in any European city very dangerous area. Do not walk anywhere from or around this region, especially if you stand out as a foreigner. Get a taxi. I have not been mugged by a miracle, but on my last attempt to dismiss the preconceived idea the area was rough, I had a knife pointed at me.

This place regardless of the high numbers of travelers it is well kept
    Keep up the good work.
I have been in this place since 2007 thanks for all the up grads on the rest rooms since then, keep improving. Save water!
Its safe but be vigilante because hangery people can try chance on you.

Environmentally neat and visible security but the 2 toilets have no water taps to wash hands even though they are clean.
For long distance travellers there's a hassle free easy to choose luxury coach service and well controlled entry bus ports
but least of all local passenger trains still needs reliability sometimes

Amazing! More like an Airport. Undergoing upgrades but it is clean, modern, effective and safe.

Please help if any of you know, how do I arrange for parking my car whilst I am away for a few days (taking the bus from there). I've seen the designated areas for such cars but I don't know about prior arrangements and payment options to be made. Thanks.

I didn't go to catch a train but just to hang out. There are about six different restaurants inside, some shops, and a local market on the southside. The place was very modern looking and kept really clean (unlike the local market outside). One hip restaurant even had a live DJ spinning tunes.

The platform area is full of hustlers wearing attention sleeves. Don't accept any assistance from them!! They are probably going to ask where are you going, and charge you 50R just for directing you to the correct platform. You can easily see all different operators around the platform area. Just go to the queue of your operator and destination. If you need any help, ask from the ticket offices located opposite of platforms.
