  It's quaint and good for if you are out and about for most of the day. Staff are friendly and helpful. The only issue I had was that I would have liked the room floor to have been swept at least once every 2-3 days. Otherwise I enjoyed it and Ren (the dog) was my favorite host.

  Excellent, peaceful and quiet. Service is perfect from friendly and helpful staff. No issues ,no complaints!! I'll suggest anyone to try it out! Good for relaxation, rest and quality family time. Thanks to Deon, Ruta and Claudi!

  Staying at house on the hill was an OK experience overall. The facilities are average and so is the service. The location is very good, as it’s a 10 min walk to the waterfront and taxis (public vans) can be found just down the road. What we didn’t like about it was cleanness. As it claims to be an upmarket backpackers, room service could definitely be improved. We stayed there for 6 nights and our bathroom was only “properly cleaned” once during our stay. It also advertises that there is a TV in the room, of which only one channel works and the tea station was lacking care as the coffee was expired and the tea tastes awful. Having a nice courtyard, our intention was to make a lovely braai one evening but after seeing the state of the grill and the need to clean it before use, we changed plans. Furthermore, perhaps investing in a new coffee plunger would be beneficial for the house as having to share one(the other one was broken) amongst various rooms was creating friction between guests. It’s a very basic backpackers.

  Nice breakfast, clean place. The owner listen to music and keeps drumming on a table by the rooms during the day, which can be annoying.

  Thank you for the clean and well managed accommodation. Deon really went out on a limb for us and Simon wads very helpful too. Wren is still the star employee keeping us safe. Thank you once again for the awesome lodgings!
