This is truly a gem. It is a real traditional Italian joint. The staff look like they have been there since the restaurant opened its doors. All the meals are made real old school but perfect if you really want that authentic Italian flavor. I’m amazed that they have made it through so many moons in Voortrekker road.

The decor hasn't changed much in 53 years this place has been going so I love the retro feel and the owner, Amerigo, is always on hand to ensure quality.

I heard that this is the place to eat. I was highly disgusted by the way we were treated at this restaurant. Our menus were not the same, the waiters did not know what some of the dishes were, and definitely had no idea of how to treat customers. Our steaks was of such a poor quality and the bill prices and the menu prices was totally different. Would not recommend this restaurant to anybody.

It's been around for more than 50 years and some of the staff has been there for over 36 years. The food standard is always kept high with Americo running the place.

Can't beat Harlequin for that feel-good from the 60's vibe. Food is consistently top class and service is awesome - despite the fact that the restaurant is located in a seedy, semi-dodge neighbourhood. But don't let that put you off. They serve excellent Italian food. My family has been eating there for three generations.
