Nice quite place, roads are very nice for motorcycle's. What a nice experience: we did the trip twice in two day's.

The place is in a beautiful location. The road and the surroundings there are very beautiful. I did not sleep there because of the high price compared to the winter period which was supposed to lower the price very rope tourist from Israel and Africa is amazing המקום נמצא במיקום יפה. הדרך והסביבה לשם יפה מאוד .לא ישנתי שם בגלל המחיר הגבוהה לעומת תקופת החורף שהיה אמור להוזיל את המחיר חבל מאוד תייר מישראל אפריקה מדהימה

We have always loved Golden Gate and have been visiting here to camp for the last 43 years.
The camp site is well maintained and clean but the road in the reserve is falling apart and needs urgent attention.
The mountains are spectacular.

Stunning walks, great drives. Make sure to visit the vultures restaurant and drive around the loops to really feel the mountains. There is a beautiful walk behind the hotel, and horse riding is available at the main office

Sandstone formations are incredibly beautiful. The rooms are well kept and entire hotel upgraded. The Parks Board has done well. Cosy fires on a cold night warms the heart. Food is well served and big variety for everyone.

Incredibly beautiful. Highlights include stunning mountains, good camp terrain, great day hikes and a vulture hideout nearby.

One the most beautiful places to visit in SA. However the town seemed very unfriendly. Definitely did not feel welcoming as do so many other places in SA. Racist undertones spread across the area. Unfortunate that locals from outside the area & tourists from out of SA seemed the be the only friendly people we encountered.

Absolutely breathtaking place! The scenery is amazing. We really enjoyed the various hiking trails especially the Brandwag Buttress trail. Perfect for bird watching too!

MUST VISIT PLACE. The horse riding trail was very nice and different for the price. Just to be in such a gigantic landmark with never ending mountains was somewhat unbelievable. There are some animals in the park as well.

Although golden gate in always a great outing, the reception at the hotel is only meant for whites. You will have channel 204 turned into rugby and you will be made to watch bloody SABC1 because you are black. No respect for other guests. Don't visit golden gate hotel because whites are still dominant.

Serene and peaceful. The only spoiler is people who fly their drones in the mountains which disturbs the peace.

A main road runs through the park and makes one feel slightly unsave
It is however very clean and well kept. We saw many animals. Even the rare bearded vulture and southern bald ibis.

Tranquil with beautiful views. Relatively well sign posted hiking trails. Lovely mountain streams. The only negative is the lack of attention to managing invasive plant growth which has taken over significantly.

Great scenery. Stunning views. Chalet clean and well serviced. Linen neat and crisp. Shower hot and water aplenty. Did.not use restautant but heard the fare at the recommended hotel down the road was fine fare. The scenic roads were somewhat tatty with signs of low maintenance levels and potholes developing. Becoming a bit 3rd world. Don't recommend driving in the area at night.

Very beautiful place and AWESOME photo opportunities along the way with a lot to see! Good picnic and resting area and bathrooms, just needs some better maintenance. Otherwise very nice place to come to :)

Beautiful views and lots to see around the lodge. Place needs TLC for what they charge. Food is of fair standard but self-catering flats are advised for better value.
