Can have a lekker vibe. It looked like the servers thought they were doing us a great service just to be there. The warm platter for two had a little too much bread and too little sausage and comustibles

Go early if you hope to get a seat during busy weekends at this Clarens institution. Great selection of their own beers and ciders available with free tastings to help you make your choice. Good menu options of mostly sausages or selections of cold cuts and cheeses, great accompaniments to the drinks on offer. Very reasonably priced as well.

Great food and good beer. I would recommend the cheese platter and the beer tasting. You can buy the beers in bottles for an incredibly reasonable price.

Cheap drinks and proudly South African made! We had a cherry juice and vodka cocktail and a gin with apple based cider cocktail and it was absolutely delicious! Staff were friendly and the place was always lively with a cozy and casual vibe.
Would definitely return for day drinking shenanigans when back in Clarens.

The food is really good. Friendly service. Not geared for large groups. Struggled to get 20+ meals out in time. A very wide variety of beers. (For a non beer drinker - terrible)

Best place in Clarens to chill and enjoy a beer and a light lunch. You can expect craft beer (free tasters) and german style lunch platters with a selection of sausages, cold meats and cheese. It's in the centre of town and walking distance from most guest houses.

Free beer tasting (9 to be exact). Really nice and different tastes. Unique to say the least. Also nice German sausages as bar food. A must visit!

being able to taste each of the many options was great. we had the cherry and berry ciders and some pale ale. really nice. Will go back every time we are in clarens. the cheese platter was excellent with delicious bread and pickles. well done guys. the place is busy and there were lots of happy people (of all ages) enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.

Not out if this world awesome and nothing really to complain about. The coffee cocktail in the photo is pretty to look at, but horrid to drink. The platters are fantastic for sharing and good value for money

There is a good reason this is the top attraction on trip advisor for Clarens. Excellent beers brewed on site, and the sausage combo platter is amazing to share. Free taster board of 9 beers and ciders, most people leave with a box of beer to take home.
