It's an amazing experience to be there..the ambience, the service and the ppl are amazing. Gilroy himself does so many activities that you will not get boredand what to talk about the beers there..such amazing taste..specially designed Favourite ale and serious..amazing experience..much do for your list if you love craft beer

Great venue for awesome Craft Beer. Contact them directly for a tour of the brewery. Many awesome varieties on tap.
The menu is varied and the food is great. There can be a bit of a wait on the weekends, but that's because the place is packed! Make a booking over a weekend.response / report this review -

Although far out and kinda isolated for a quick evening out, during the weekend's it's over crowded and rushed. The beer is outstanding which is a bit of a surprise and a delight considering the madning crowds. As for the food well it's food for students and not the semi or reserved food fondie. Sunday's are really fun for the wild soul.

Went for the great beer, will never return due to HORRIBLE service! Gilroy's just isn't what it used to be. Celebrated my 30th there but due to slow service and a massive mishap with the bill the night ended on the brink of disaster. Gilroy's refuses to split a large table's bill and then struggles do deal will multiple card payments. If you are planning a party at this venue be warned, they can't cope. Extremely disappointed!

The beer is great, Steve Gilroy is hilarious when he makes his announcements (bachelor's, birthdays etc.) and the vibe in general is fun and relaxed. Good pub grub at affordable prices.
A real honest PUB where you will be told to f*** off if you don't like what they're doing here.

Great beer, the "Serious" is an amazing porter, the food and atmosphere is also great with live music as well, so whats not to like, well the kids don't like it as it is a venue geared around adults, lots of people are getting drunk including the band and the owner.
Definitely an 18+ venue and if the owner grabs the microphone towards the end of the Sunday afternoon, you could get strong anti government messages along with his famous **Up Yours** remarks to his customers.response / report this review -

Gilroy's Brewery is a fantasist local brewery if you enjoy craft beer made with pride than this stop is definitely for you. A word of caution the place is super popular and get really busy so booking is essential. The prices are really good considering how good the food is and that it is all made from fresh ingredients. The owner is a lively and very involved character. Another word of caution if you are offended easily than the brewery is not the place for you. What a vibe! The live music, singing from Mr Gilroy himself and the old toppies dancing on stage was excellent entertainment. An great way to end off the weekend with a Sunday lunch. The chicken and mushroom pie is a winner!
