It was my husband's birthday and they gave him the cheesecake piece. Loved the place so beautiful. The staff was great the guy who gave us the table to the one who cleared it. Will be visiting this place again soon.

This place is quite unique and provides a quiet environment where one can relax away from the hustle and bustle of Rosebank and Sandton. The food is excellent and the owners and staff are very hospitable. It is located inside the Killarney Country Club and can therefore be a little difficult to find if you haven't been there as it is not easily visible for the road.

Lovely venue, great food. Cocktails were a little disappointing. Great place for kids, nice big outside seating area under the trees next to the pool.

Went there for a breakfast, the service was fantastic, the food was delicious and well presented. Even though it was a breakfast, they managed to serve a complimentary slice of cake for the birthday lady.

I have eaten at La Vie before and was very disappointed with the food. Very very dry. Nevertheless i decided to give them another chance and have a celebration there. Steph and tatijana who are in charge of bookings are very very difficult to work with.
Apparently cooking for more than 15 people is too much stress on the kitchen. So does your restaurant never get more than 15 people in at a time? That's sad. Your ratings have dropped and they will keep dropping with service like this.

Your response below to me and responses to critique from other patrons are further proof of how you run your place with arrogance and don't believe your customer should always come first.
Perhaps update your systems or learn to verify facts, as I am NOT the person who booked for 50 and it has made you go off on a tangent.
If I said we wouldn't mind food at different times then we wouldn't have minded. Not everyone would have managed to arrive at the exact same time so they were not expecting to eat altogether. Don't predict and assume our reaction in order to justify your dictorial behaviour.

You could have dealt with this in a kinder manner instead of basically yelling at me on a public forum. If you think I would email you privately after this you are sadly mistaken.
If you need help with your policies and how to treat people in a service industry I am more than happy to give you and your staff free training as you clearly need it
I would give you a 0 rating if possible. Goodbye.
