Amazing food. Fresh, delicious flavoured tapas. Wow. Wantons were the best.
Chef Shaun and his team always produce sensational dishes, and the service under the watchful eye of Sizwe is always superb. An excellent dining experience and great value.
Why is this place not world famous?? This is one of the best food experiences I have had in Durban. It's very "gimmicky" and "experimental" and that is what I LOVE about it! The food is cooked in exciting ways with weird pairings. The venison and steak use chocolate sauces with the white chocolate sauce being exceptional. The wontons and spring rolls are also phenomenal and they do duck well. I don't like duck. I loved this duck. Try the duck here. Please? The whiskey selection is also probably the best in Durban. Please go check this place out!
Interesting food. Not the greatest service.
It was alright. I had the paella type dish. I'd say this place is more about the gimmicks than the taste, but that does make it unique. The caustic soda pretzel was dreadful -cool idea, terrible in practice.
Lovely atmosphere , innovative cooking methods , tasty food and pleasant staff.
My review is based on eating the amuse bouche only. We arrived as a group and all looked at the menu and decided nothing sounded appetising. The service was odd and then when they offered us a free tasting platter to start (can't complain about the price) it tasted really odd. So mind made up we moved on That said, perhaps the main meals are delicious
Very Nice Meal. Inexpensive (for my Canadian comparison). The starters were nice, we didn't try the colour changing soup and unfortunately don't eat beef to try the "Dishwater" beef dish.
We had the chicken schnitzel, which wasn't so much like a schnitzel but nice tender pieces of breaded chicken. We had some tapas which were yummy, and the server was friendly.
We corked our own nice wine for a few dollars, and sat on the patio (not much of a view but nice fresh air).
A good experience, I would recommend it.
