A lot to say about this place, they had such a big aquarium, must to visit. They also have lot of food joints and shopping centre.
Beautiful sea lives are there to explore, it was well maintained. Neat and clean place.
As it is just beside the beach, you can enjoy your evening time over a walk along.
Dolphin show was amazing. Cute dolphins!
Tribe dance outside the marine world was just awesome, there are incredible.
Enjoyed by both locals and tourists, uShaka Marine World makes for the perfect day out. with plenty fun-filled activities, from shark cage diving, to its awe inspiring aquarium, to the thrilling water-park, one can never be short things to do. Once you've racked up an appetite, you can count on a wide variety of restaurants that caters for any pallet. Well worth a day trip.
Obviously I’m coming in an off peak season so maybe my experience is not the best judge. Dolphin show was fun, animals were well trained but the overall act was very minimal. Feel like there’s so much more creativity that could be applied to give the show a world class but also a uniquely African vibe.
Rest of the park was a bit average a few local shops and attractions.
The aquarium was amazing love the whole shipwreck vibe love the thought put into it. The restaurant was not cheap but pretty good.
Overall the kids will love it, but after experiencing a few places like this around the world I feel like the management team needs to get creative with in-house attractions, in house hosts, and better traveling performers that can roam within the park to entertain guests. I feel that with a lot of creativity and very minimal budget they could actually turn this place around with the right team breathing some fresh life into the place. But again it’s off peak season maybe I missed all the good stuff…
We had a great time, if you're not wanting to get wet there is a still a ton to do!
Like the gondolas, the beach, reptile/dangerous animals exhibit and the amazing aquarium. We're from Canada and found the staff less than helpful, except at the aquarium they were amazing! Thanks to the women there, so insightful and awesome. Ticket prices were actually super reasonable and even the food prices were low. We'll be back with our swimsuits one day!
Awesome place to visit. Like the water rides. The aquarium was exceptional. Though I would put it on par with the Two oceans Aquarium for types of fish and info available., your general decor, the whole shipwreck idea set you apart from the rest. I also never seen such big stingrays anywhere else. I will definitely come back.
How should I even being. This is the one pla've when my family gets in the car I'm actually excited to go . It has all our favourite restaurant's and even new cafes .It has games for kids a n slides for kids . And adults too. With all they have to offer there's no time to explain and all I can say is don't fill you self with pain and come on come on down . You'll fly through they hole day with out have done every thing but I will still want more . I highly recommend it to all especially because I go there every holiday
I love the place, my family and I had a great time here. The dolphin show is 10000% awesome.
We went to see the dolphins and I forgot my twin girls bag at the aquarium, when I noticed that that bag was gone, I went back and the people working in the aquarium helped me look for the bag till I found it by the shark section, the folk celebrated as if it was their bag we found.
With the above being said, I really must commend the staff of uShaka
It's a great place for anyone who likes the world of aqua - water activities, dolphin shows, aquarium, etc.! Kids will thoroughly enjoy it but it's a learning for everyone! Dolphin show is great though it is a shorter session than what it was a few years ago. The aquarium is a wonderful experience with big tanks and windows / views and lots to learn about aquaculture and aquamarine.
However, signboards are not very clear at few places and the set up of the place can be improved considering that they collect quite a bit of money at the entrance! Service seems a bit slow from everyone (at entrance to marine world, at restaurants, etc.) in general.
The ocean walker is a must do. I had the best experience under water with my action camera and I just wanted to stay there forever. Wet and wild was great but required too much exercise going up the stairs for every slide. X panda shark dive on the other hand is scary and is only for the super brave. A lunch at the cargo hold was amazing as the fish were maneuvering around the tank. All in all, this is an amazing place to relax and live life to the fullest
Good food great place. Money well spent. Something for everyone and plenty to do. There is a village walk mall with clothing stalls and restaurants. It has a lovely theme and good vibe. Wish their live shows could be less noisier. We couldn't hear each other or even place an order to eat. It's clean neat and safe. There are many activities for young and old and so enjoyable
Great spot for the whole family. Lots of activities to do. And great as a date spot. Great restaurants, kiddie entertainment area, water slides, the aquarium, shops and lot more including the ocean
This review is about Sea World. The aquarium is nice as well as the dolphin show. Only 3 stars as the park is rather small. In 2 - 3 hours you've seen everything that's included in the standard entry price. We were thinking about paying extra for the shark dive but after observing other guests we noticed the sharks can be seen just as good in the aquarium as in the special tank for the shark dive so we ended up not paying extra.
14 schools were there the same day as we were. We were chased from one aquarium to the next and back trying to view the fish. There was hardly any space to sit during the dolphin show as the venue was over capacity. R600.00 went down the drain. This is the second time we have gone and a school tour was there. Managers shouldn't allow so many schools to go on the same day. We've been in December with peak season and had a better experience. Try avoid school tour days.
Quite a massive upgrade from the first time we went. They are constantly thinking of new ways to keep the parks fresh. We bought a combo ticket and had access to wet and wild and sea world. Both great experiences.
Fun. Always fun. One of the biggest attractions in Durban. Definitely a place to go with kids! Dolphins..Sea turtles, Sharks and many more marine animals! There are lot of cool restaurants here to with dessert options and bars.
Very pleasant outing! The Aquarium is very well maintained, lots of different fish etc. Loads of Sharks which were exiting. And the Dolphin show was great. Perfect outing for for the young ones and families.
I loved it. The aquarium is amazing & all the water slides are fun. It's also perfect for a day out with kids.
The food wasn't so great tho, definitely not worth the money.
Not a big fan of theme parks. Going through it didn't reveal anything out the ordinary. Been to one theme park been to them all. There were the usual retail shops, people trying to sell you holiday packages. For those that like that kind of thing it was spot on it didn't disappoint. Wasn't interested in the pretentious crafty stuff but again that is personal to me and not a bad reflection on the theme park. The usual franchised restaurants where there as per usual. Perfect for someone travelling with kids and looking for a more contained place to have fun and be able to monitor everything. Entrance fee I felt was a bit pricey but par for the course if you're on holiday in most places and themed parks aren't an exception.
Incredible aquarium, one of the best in the world! Better on a week day if possible so as to avoid the crowds. Prices are very good value for money and there is definitely something for everybody. The shows are all worth watching especially the dolphin show! Give yourself at least half a day maybe more to cover everything including lunch or dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants.
It's a fun place to go to with your family.. There is things to do with your kids so they don't get bored And the parents are also entertained. There is a variety of things to see and do.. Like getting a henna body art done in like 3 min Watch fudge been made.. Yummy.. Or for the brave at heart, take a walk in the dangerous creatures exhibition.. .
