Us Mangauners could well make a point of taking our visitors there. The place is unique in atmosphere and beauty. Always a special, new experience.

Great open spaces with lots of shade and a prime picnic destination in Bloemfontein. Typically costs under R50.00 per person to enter for the day with good braai facilities available. Great destination for a family day.

As every other review has stated: the gardens are well kept. Well annotated and allowing for private time even though in public.

Interesting features, other than the flora, such as the Anglo Boer War dam created by the British during the war, of course now only a micro wetland.

Pick'n Pay lapa is available for your use and a restaurant but usually booked on weekends for private events.

    I enjoyed it.

Gardens well maintained despite the drought.

Restrooms clean. Ample place to hike and picknic.

Entrance for food and market day was R20 per person. Enjoyable outing for the whole family.

The gardens are very well maintained and the staff are very friendly and the ablutions are clean. There are nice hiking trails and a really nice restaurant with good food and nice service. Packing your own snacks and a blanket is just as nice though. There is enough space for many people to have nice picnics on weekends. There are nice benches and lots of trees also available. The entrance fee is not a problem to pay at all when you can see that it is being utilized effectively. This is an excellent venue for photographers doing photo shoots for people!

A beautiful garden. We were planning on having breakfast at the restaurant which was unfortunately closed for a private function.

Botanical Garden is pretty awesome from the time you enter the gate with the security guard curious to know if you know where you're going to really getting relaxed. Just the parking lot alone for me is pretty.

We visited the gardens in January, after a bout of rain. The gardens are kept neat and there is a lot of space for children to explore. There are also play apparatus for small ones, and a lovely dam with water fowl on it. My grandson chased butterflies and afterwards we had a lovely brunch in the serene surroundings.
