We went for a private party and used the accommodation. The unit we stayed in was nice but very dirty. There was a nice flat screen tv with DSTV but didn't work. Nice view of the river. Please remember this is state owned entity

Very good opportunity to smash your windows and good reason to change your tires, too little to see there, they have shut down the predator park.

Olive Hills and Krugersdrift entrance gates are temporarily closed. Access to the reserve is only through the main entrance on R700 Bultfontein Road.

Hot with no shaded areas near the water. The ablutions are very far away and very substandard.

Fun place to go for a drive and fishing.

The roads are in a very good condition and you can go most everywhere with a car. Some overhanging trees need to be cut though.

Wildlife is limited but we spotted zebra, wildebeest, springbok and duikers.

Unfortunately the Predator Park doesn't exist anymore

Very disappointed!! When we got there we were told that we are no longer allowed to braai on open fires could they not inform people earlier?? What were we supposed to do with our raw meat and no way to cook it?? I understand the principle but just make it known to everyone intending to visit.

Secondly, what happened to the predator park?? When we got there everything was locked and no one was in the security post. And the seperate gates where the lions and cheetahs used to be was wide open with only thr gate leading to the predator park locked.

Thirdly, the roads are horrible next to the river. Obviously it is nature but a little up keep and looking after will attract more people.

Fourth, the "bathroom" facilities next to the river looks like they have not been emptied in months, the one we had to use was filled to the brim with human waste.

By 12a.m we were so disappointed we packed up our things and we left to spend Heritage day at the Botanical Gardens in Bloem (which was awesome).

The only nice thing about Soetdoring was the game plenty of zebra and even ostriches (that's what you get two stars for).

Honestly I don't think i'll go back. Sorry.

Amazing chalets and amazing views. Would have been 5 stars but we picked up 5 big plastic bags of rubbish at one of the fishing spots
