The place us great, really great, BUT every time I was there there was this old guy with a Santa Claus beard, wearing short rugby like pants and a ground coloured buttoned up shirt whilst carrying a firearm that looks at least a hundred years old. To top it off he kept on wanting to give me gardening tips and said he has all the answers to life. Weird AF.

This is a great place to have a beer if you are a student. Coming from Stellenbosch student life, this is one of the best student bars in Bloem.

Warm & cozy atmosphere, very friendly staff, great drinks, some of the best pizza in bloem (recommend the Mystic Trots). They have a few pool tables also making it a great place to unwind.

The Scenery is great with a real Rugged look and feel. .. From what i know J.R Tolken wrote a section of the Series of books The Hobbit in the very building. has a mysterious feel but has been turned into a bar and night club
