Very nice gardens. Not free to enter. Bring your student card for a discount. If you go on Saturday, you will bump into weddings so choice of where to sit will be affected, but not a big deal.

Beautiful place to go for a walk or even have a picnic. The park is so beautiful and allows you to sit privately in your own corner without being too crowded. The hiking trails are family-friendly and can be done by all age groups. Lovely place!

One of my favourite places in Bloemfontein. The trails are great and you can also enjoy a picnic with your family and friends.

Nice place for a picnic or a function. The draught took a toll on many of the plants.

Great National park with a reasonable entrance fee, and a keen emphasis on indigenous flora and forna and educating the visitor about them and their various uses/habitats.
Unfortunately I am only giving the park a 4/5 as we were there in winter and a lot of the plants were covered to protect them against frost. There is a considerable amount of wild animals to be seen and an enjoyable hike up a rocky ridge on the tree tour walk.

Next time I am in the area, in spring/summer; I will definitely attempt a return visit.

I really love coming to the Botanical Gardens. It's great for a stroll, a long walk or just a picnic in the park. It doesn't really matter in what season you visit, the gardens are always well looked after and the tranquility of the park is beautiful and calming. There is also a great restaurant to visit with an amazing buffet on Sunday's!

Beautiful gardens and a lot of space and routes to walk on. Really nice place to take the family. The restrooms were very dirty. So attention is needed around that. Otherwise very nice.

Fairly well maintained but open very late in the morning by which time the birds are not very active.
