Great book store with friendly assistance and variety of books. There is a place to eat both inside and outside with fast service, however the food available is adequate the wrap tended to be quite soggy.

The V &A Waterfront Exclusive Books is a very well stocked bookshop with an adjacent coffee shop. There is inside and outside seating with a beautiful view over the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront whilst drinking a coffee and eating a slice of cake, or a salad. The menu is satisfactorily varied. The quality of the food and beverages is always good, and I have never been disappointed.
It is a convenient space to meet or for tourists to relax after purchasing various South Africa related books. There is sufficient room and plugs for people with laptops so doing some business there is an ideal option.
Mostly, it has a good array of books and especially cater for tourists who need a keepsakes book. It's convenient location in the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront adds to the experience of this bookshop.

Exclusive Books has always had the books I want or been very diligent in ordering them for me. The staff is extremely friendly and always has good knowledge on books which is an extremely delightful asset seeing as most stores in Cape Town don't train their staff in knowing their product at all!
I often spend time in the store sitting in their quiet reading area just browsing through books as it is very calming and they have done a great job of making it possible for the customer to enjoy the store even without paying straight up. This definitely helps in my decision on what book to buy and always leaves me with an urge to return.
Sadly I feel that the prices are a little high which sets it just shy of a 5 star review, but that won't keep me from coming back time and time again.

Wonderful coffee shop-quiet and cosy with beautiful views and excellent prices and quality of food. Georgeous layered carrot cake and really excellent, pure cappucino.

Experience was very poor. I reserved a book on Tuesday for collection. I came back on Friday, the book was not there. They took my contact details however sold the book reserved in my name without contacting. Am very disappointed with the service.

While the bookshop is lovely, and deserves 5 stars, the coffee shop is a solid 1. The service was shocking, oils were old, salad greasy, just all round sad for such a spot with great potential. The views are awesome and I would have loved to stay the whole afternoon.

Good bookstore. Terrible security. My handbag was stolen from the restaurant on Saturday around 5pm and the security cameras could not be viewed until Monday!! I know of at least one similar incident at the same shop. Sort out your security!
