Gorgeous estate in a picturesque location. The restaurant has an extensive variety of exquisite food and well trained and friendly staff.

What an inspirational place! The outside world is banished at the gate while you still have the technology you need. Lovely restaurant and zebras in the yard. Who could ask for more?

A very good and relaxing time was spend. Visited the place in the winter, stock up in wood and keep the inglenook burning.
Everyday chalet was kept clean and tidy by friendly staff.
Maintenance is a concern.
The restaurant is clean and meals are tasty.
The braai and the veranda facilities outside where not used. Plenty of entertainment for the youngsters.
Some fishponds for the big one who got away and small variety of antilopes.

Stunningly beautiful Estate with all necessities. Grounds are kept beautifully with game and horses walking around freely. The units are serviced daily and has all you need for a comfortable and relaxing breakaway. Various trout dams on the property to add to the beauty and tranquility as well as keep any trout fisherman occupied. Highly recommended.

Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful, tranquil and quiet. We came here for some much needed healing. Restaurant 1883 served delicious meals at great value!! Unfortunately our stay here got ruined by the Dunkeld Spa. On the day of our arrival, we had booked a massage at the spa for our last day here. When we arrived for our appointment, we were told that they couldn't find our booking and that they were fully booked and couldn't help us. Bitterly disappointed as that was something we were really looking forward to and desperately needed.

Worst meal we have ever eaten at the restaurant. Service shocking with no management around to assist us. I have spoken to nearly all the managers at Dunkeld with the promise that they will investigate and come back to me. Still waiting since my complaint in September! Having spoken to friends who are owners at the equestrian resort, they advise that they have also had bad meals at the restaurant in Dunkekd. With the lack of response from Dunkeld management, I will now be posting my experience on social media.

The most beautiful joint for a winter vacation, very private, the food is out of this world. Beware The time share people will go out of their way to ruin your holiday when u get there so avoid them at all cost! One guy stalked us till we got to a restaurant and offered us time share while we were trying to chill and have a meal outside the premises!!!

Setting is great - hidden away, with lots of areas for running / hiking, even though it is aimed at the fly-fisherman.

The place is awesome. Out door activities will keep you intertained through out your stay. Fire place will keep you warm. Well whiskey or brandy.its your choice.

The estate is very beautiful. The older accommodation is a bit old and basic. You need to love horses, cycling and fly fishing to really enjoy the estate. There is a number of activities on a daily basis to keep the kids occupied. It is not too far from Dullstroom, however the road can be dangerous at night.
