Temporary setup next to sport fields. Don't do any ID or Passport applications or any biometrics. Not sure what they actually do..

There was no update on any website about movement of home affairs into a mobile unit. On top of that, they only do birth certificates and IDs, no longer passports.. An hours drive there then to Atlantis Home Affairs.

They have moved temporarily to the sports ground opposite McDonald's. Behind main pavilion. Take exact money as change is not readily available and a black pen. My experience there was fast arrival at about 9:30am ( 1st Mar 2018) No queue so I was quickly attended too. Note, services are limited in there temporary spot.
Update : SMS received that my document is ready - we'll done Home Affairs ( 14 Mar 2018 )

Honestly! I spent 8 months waiting for my sons father to be named on his burth certificate in 2016, and eventually, after going back 3 times, i was told it was ready but ooops not actually, now my sons father is listed but not me as the mother, so another handful of broken promises to get back to me as it is their error ( no apologies mind you) and STILL not done. Eventually, as phone is never answered, i drive there again to find it all closed up! No notification on line or on the door! My hat i am so frustrated i could do bodily harm to someone!!!! Wish there was a MINUS rating!

This place is pathetic. 3rd time in a row turned away because they only assist 100 people a day. Not recommended. Even Gerhard Kotze who is the manager here is never available, I doubt that he actually exists.

This branch is the slowest and most disorganised Home Affairs I have ever been to. We have been in the queue for almost 3 hours and have only had our son's photo taken thus far. Seriously no wonder we are a 3rd world country.

Disappointing, we got to home affairs today and after spending a long time in the que we were told that @ 9:30am that they have reached their quota of 100 people. We will not be helped. The lady in front of us was there the day before as well being told this. There was only about 4 people left in the que. We were all 101,102,103,104 how can this be possible when your offices only close at 15:30 pm.

Considering that you WILL ALWAYS que forever at any government office, the service here is really good and friendly. I can't complain.

2 days, 21 calls later get the answer "Yes you can come and collect" Rarely answer their phones, and if they have to transfer you your call will probably drop. But. Still better than most other home affairs.

Discrimination! Applying to REPLACE green ID book with new smart card. Queued for 4h30 mins only to be told by Official and Branch Manager that even though I was born in SA, I don't qualify as my parents were not born in SA.
Online Smart-Card ID criteria makes no mention of this and Manager could not and would not provide me with any paperwork to prove this requirement. Also would not provide me with paper work to deny my ID Smart Card Application. What is this country coming to ?

Monday 30 january 2017 - My wife has been in the queue for 2 Hour and 30 minutes outside the building. She has just entered the building and now awaits a number to be helped - She is collecting a passport. Why so long? is she doing something wrong? I have always had expediant service when there Rgds Charles Wroth, Baghdad, Iraq.

For smart cards and new passports e application finalization they can only process up to a hundred people. ( They have only one machine and it is also dependent on the connectivity) If you afe not there first thing in the morning do not go. Phoning before hand does not help either because they do nt pick up the telephones)
