Definitely not a 4 star hotel. Friendly staff, great check in and check out process but the rooms are tired and run down. They were clean and huge but linen needs an upgrade, sheets were torn and not that white anymore. Location is quite far away from the airport or city centre.

A decent business type hotel for people on the move. Nestled on a quite street in the little town called Melkbos Strand. Just a few metres to the beach and around the corner to public transport. I think I Will frequent this place down the line

I used to love the chicken schnitzel and roast veg, made in a certain perfect way at R 50 a special. Then suddenly the price jumped to R-95, (which I was aware of and didn't mind paying it for such lovely food) BUT to make it extremely unacceptable appalling and disappointing, to say the least, was last week when my family and I wanted to dine there, a special & rare occasion as a family of 4 together, we were the 4 th table to arrive, we placed our order, after which several tables arrived. We waited so very long that I felt dizzy from not eating and eventually asked when our order will arrive. The waitress commented another 20 minutes. (No dinner rolls served or apologies, they ended up serving all the other tables first, including a table of 10, who all arrived after us) I expressed how shocked I am, AGAIN no expression or reaction from waitress. We waited a total of 1'hour. The food was absolutely shocking, (I couldn't believe that the person who plated it up in the kitchen did so, without being ashamed) chicken schnitzel was like tearing cardboard with a fork because the knife couldn't cut it, the supposed to be smooth cheese sauce looked like a stirred up lumpy mess and the slab of cheese slapped on underneath wasn't melted. The veg was also absolutely not the same quality as usually served. It looked like an out of a packet frozen veg. Version. Which was tasteless and cold and not the usual spices and butter mix used. The tomato sauce bottle was empty, when I eventually got up to go look for more sauce I found more empty sauce containers on the service trolley. My daughter took 2 bites and ended up hurling in the bathroom & by now extremely angry over hungry forced 4 th bite I couldn't eat the disappointing expensive mess anymore. I went to the hotel receptionist to express my disappointment and anger with how our evening is going, she reported it to kitchen and restaurant manager with absolutely no response back from them. We paid the bill in full and have never in My life imagined that I'll spend that much on a hotel restaurant bill and ended up only enjoying the chips that came with the meal. I will NEVER go there AGAIN. It is very clear that their staff lacks common sense and training

Great quality/price ratio, close to the beach, a bit far from Capetown downtown, but if you're looking for a nice and quiet place and get a nice service this hotel

Friendly, welcoming people. Had a lovely stay. Good food and comfortable rooms. If you open the outsidedoor you on the balcony, you can hear the sea.

My family and I had the most wonderful stay. All the staff where helpful and friendly. Our room was fantastic which housed our young son too, with a lovely view to top it off. Can't wait forth next time we leave England for South Africa as we will definitely becoming back. Fab, fab, fab!
