Fyn. Relax. Camp. Chalet. Pook
I loved this place, Pim and Thandi are great hosts, knowledgeable , friendly and helpful. Personally I found the chalets / rooms comfortable. Yes they're basic, no air conditioning etc
But you pay your money and you take your choice, and for the money I think Bushbaby is excellent value. The feeding of the Bushbabies is fun, they are so cute, and the dinner and breakfast options are well worth taking as they're great value tasty, home cooked food. The gardens are beautiful nestled round a lovely swimming pool and towards the back of the lodge grounds wild game wander back and forth to the water hole. I honestly think that for the money you would be hard pressed to find better.
Great camping experience! Used this camp as our central camp to discover the area. It is not a 5 star camp but surely not the worst. We enjoyed our stay with on the farm wild animal sightings and ofcourse Bushbabies! Swimming pool was also in great condition and we enjoyed our swims after a hot day!
Good place to relax. Nothing fancy but not expensive either.
Amazing lodge for camping, they have facilities such as gas stoves and a freezer/fridge for campers to use, everything is kept clean and firewood is cheap I can highly recommend this lodge for camping, als seeking the bush babies being fed at 19:30 was a treat!
I came to the Hluhluwe area to see the Emdoneni Cats. I was in the area about 2 months ago and had a bad experience so tried again. I camp in a Motorhome. What a lovely place. I had a site looking into the watering hole and saw zebra, Impala, wildebeest and nyala. Yes they are fed daily therefore it is not like spotting in a reserve but I am happy to see some game. There is also nightly feeding of the bush babies so you can watch and photograph them. The place is clean and tidy and staff and owners are friendly and helpful. I had a very peaceful time.
If you are looking for a place that is very affordable with the bare necessities and a bit of game and a pool, this is it
Needs some serious renovations. Ablutions poor, poor ventilation in rooms. Kitchen area horrific. However staff and owner very friendly and helpful
If you like staying in a bush, this place is for you.
The place can also accommodate backpackers and there's no different between the other gueststhe food and services not really good if u need assistance u will wait until u find someonethe feeding of bushbabies is a awesome
Very quiet & rustig. Nice people. Insufficient info in one place on the Internet ITO what's provided & what you need to bring with. BRING SUGAR, MILK, COFFEE, TEA, etc. Everything else is provided in the self catering chalets. Disappointed we never got to see the Bushbabies tonight.
Cute little place. Nice stop over before kruger park.
